Not sure if this has already been mentioned but this same mix is also available on YouTube but it includes 4 additional tracks at the beginning so 15 tracks in total. 01. Fragma - Toca Me (In Petto Remix) 02. Progress Pres. The Boy Wunda - Everybody 03. Agnelli & Nelson - Everyday 04. Starfighter - Apache Lovin this site BTW, I recorded many Judge Jules shows on a Friday night during the late 90's and usually before I drove to London to dance the night away at The Fridge (Brixton). I'm also pretty sure I have the full recording of this show but whether it stood the test of time I don't know, my tape decks sound a little slow and wierd now. I'll see if I can find that tape and try and upload it.

This was my first proper night out as an 18 year old - absolutely incredible night, one of the best ever. I was pretty much over Judge Jules' music by then but was in the main tent from early doors till end of Oakey and it was something else. Have got a few photos somewhere, might try and dig them out and upload if interested...

To give you an idea, I have the following amount in my archive that still needs to be recorded and uploaded:- 1998 - 13 shows (mixture of 90 minutes & 2 hours) 1999 - 17 shows (majority are 2 hours) 2000 - 3 shows 2001 - 2 shows 2002 - 18 shows unknown dates - 2 shows that's 55 shows worth of audio to come!

Completely agree with you Jason. Rekordbox's bpm analysis is so tight now that there really is no excuse for tracks drifting out during short transitions. Add in the very dodgy looping and inappropriate placement of "Something for your mind, your body & your soul" and what you have is an absolute car-crash of a set. Embarrassing.

No lip-biting here - I think we need to be honest; his mixing was absolutely shocking. Each year he gets a little bit worse (which is hard to understand given the advances in DJ technology - it's easier than ever before!). Some people have always bashed him for his mixing technique, and yes there was always the odd clanger, but he used to absolutely nail most of them. And on vinyl too. I just wish he had retired completely a few years ago because this is embarrassing now. No one here wants to see a legend slide & struggle but continue on regardless.

I'm going to have to bite my lip here, but lets just say I was not happy, putting it mildly. Horrendous mixing, you're booked to perform in the biggest trance festival there is, for a lot of money, and you put in that effort? So frustrating as Jules can be so much better.

Here's one I think, did a search and couldn't find it on here. Sounds to me like a live club set from 2000, lots of scratching etc. Just stumbled upon it today in fact. Will do a tracklist later, Jules own music heavy, tunewise.

Hi Guys This tracks was mine which was recorded at Judge Jules studio in Finckley. I think it was Ricky Salmon who was the engineer. This was back in 1999. It was due to go out on Jules label but for some reason it didn't come out. I think it was due to the Gambafreaks ripping it and releasing it. This would have been a great springboard for me back then. Bean under various manes since then. Trix, Wizards on Was, Prime Attack and others. Thanks Billy - Wizards on Wax

I'd just about turned 14 when I started listening to Jules and buying vinyl, what great times they were , how things have changed. Listening to the show now and as for the current rubbish 1st hour, I'm actually enjoying it, even the Ellie Goudling remix fitted ok, much better selection of tracks than at othere times, even if most of them are on Armada labels Second hour well..... memories of how I walked to school back while it was still a bit dark in the morning n 98 listening to Ayla on my walkman (which I still own, it packed up playing tapes a few weeks back though the radio bit still works fine)(which I'd recorded from vinyl). As much as I'd loved to have spent my teenage years in the 70's due to my love of Disco, I feel priveliged in a way to have grownup during the Jules era of Radio 1.

Amazing site - this is one of the two Jules studio sessions that got me into dance music. The other was on March 5th 1999 i.e. a week later. The master mix went like this: Lost Witness - Happiness Happening C+J - David's Song Van Gills - Don't Need You Any More Travels - Bulgarian Yomanda - Synth and Strings DJ Tiesto - Theme from Norifhioll The Secret - Hold Me Anyone have a copy of this, perchance? Thanks all, great work.

Guys I've inadvertingly identified this, I had a show on tape and it had a track listed that never got played by Jules, so I bought it on vinyl out of interest, and low and behold it's this! the track in question is:- Che-Gun vs Morley - Sunshine Day (Steve's Goin' All The Way Instrumental) [universal Music (UK)]
