  1. Yeah Tom mate - 5 hours of Emix certainly gonna keep me entertained today - Eddie's set or the page for the emix doesnt have Tracklist up yet; I'm gonna record this set
  2. I'm with you exactly there mate  I also agree with you what you say about "gone are the days of long energetic mixing" this is sad to say of Jules because I learnt so much about mixing and structuring sets etc just by peristently listening to him etc. Eddie seems to pull of this 'energetic and long mixing' not only that, he does it with so much innovation it truly is fascinating sometimes to watch/hear him do a set!
  3. Yeh mate - mixed live and then edited is always the way...
  4. I support what you say regarding Nani (aunty, uncles and cousins..l.-lol) - morever and to the point - MAN UTF - CHAMPIONS!
  5. Kinda hear you mate, but surely look at the TL and CD 1 was mainly tech and the other was top dog! Citizen Caned was a beaute to me then (still is)!!
  6. Deffo! I hear what your saying there man and yeh, what corkers! But in terms of what kick-started your engine, my initial post has to be the boy!
  7. What an absolutely peach of a line there mate, I cannot think of such an effective and descriptive line to justify this and, for me, without a doubt it was Jules' First Clubbed CD followed by Trance Nation 4. Although there were three prequels to TN4 a mate gave it me and I became addicted and that combined with Jules album certainly fired up my engine!
  8. Likewise (although not just got sent it at this fine hour...:s)) Cheers again Christian and yeh as Mr Sheehan says - wicked stuff! Your productions are constantly improving and keep up the good work

    Newspapers

I agree with you there to an extent, but what Robin has also said kind of supported by Steve is that in papers you tend to get more than what you would on the TV and Radio, esp in the FT, you got articles written by the likes of John Kay - a leading economist - these provide fascinating insights into business and strategies etc and prove most useful reads (if I can get my head around them). I will shortly be subscribing to the FT and hoping to save 50% over a quarterly period... The Times, as mentioned is also a good read in its compact form...

Very nice choice there Robin Bluuurrpp to all those who think these papers are for grandad's! Totally agree with you though, all are great reads, although I don't buy the FT as often as I like - you must have a few quid to spare everyday then

I now (when I can be arsed and got some £'s) by The Times, although I have been adviced to read the Financial Times (FT) as apparently it is the 'paper read by those who make the world go round'... Only thing is Im not spending nearly £1.50 a day on it! I did try reading it online, but even there you gotta pay or acces is limited to a few sections only...
  12. Much appreciated your highness and, as always, it is well appreciated you taking the time to check out the mixes and provide feedback - I always look forward to your kind comments

    2007 for Jules...

What do you (& Patterson) mean by 'busy'. I gather in terms of gigs, but this year Jules has only made less than a handful of tracks and comparing that to his Hi- Gate era and when he went Hans Solo on Proven Worldwide, he seemed to be rather busy then, which probably explained why the deadlines on those albums went over. I think in terms of music support, download stores have really hit the nail on the head and I know more commercial artists (even pop music) do not seem to be getting hit by flumping sales - they seem to be getting richer!

    Ibiza here i come!

I am sure you will have a great time Bjorno
  16. Yeh I agree with you there and have been doing that myself. Why Do You Want to Work for us is the best - get the best buttered up answer and just change the companies name...
  17. Briggys mate, also try www.reed.co.uk, they are pretty decent. I too hear you what your saying about the job - it's been tough for me since graduating trying to get something. I still feel unsure just exactly what I want to do. I mean I want an IT career (for now at least) but not sure exactly what role, I think I am open to any role except programming. I have been targetting companies specifically and filling out their online applications for grad roles - they took so long. The word count nearly equates to a 3000 word essay on most questions and it sucks when you just get a polite email saying no sorry - you dont have much experience... Nevertheless, I am still plodding away. I think Monster is a good site too. I have had a few agencies call me up for roles, but they are too far and the salary sucks to consider relocating or at least commute.
  18. A very amazing post Quadrant Made me laugh a great deal. It seems you conveniently left yourself out though - if you are a strong medievel like you say you are then you gotta be able to take a punch as well as dish em out, so I saved you the hassle In Battle: A Normality... Hat Off: Relaxing and Winding Down...

Because if we are all providing the 'Julesisms' and if we do get this put into some sort of special category section, why should anyone be able to see it? I think it would be a priveledge for the board..?

Right, we shall stick with this thread (I said that lol in the other 1, but whilst we are here)& commence forth... Importationage from other thread... "Cracking like the whip of a dominatrix, 97-99 Fm radio 1 in the mix" "A caustic couldron of top tunes in the mix on Radio 1" (on top of the break in Sunset on Ibiza) "A raft of roof-raising tunes to rip it up on Radio 1" "Radio 1 on a Friday night - blistering like paint STRIPPA!" "If you like ya beats mixed up, mashed up and generally screwed up, then here we go for 30 minutes uninterrupted in the mix." "Radio 1 supplying tunes more banging... than the Viagra Clinical Testing Programme" "Ripping It Up like A discarded betting slip" "A tune more talked about than where Justin Timberlake had his hand at the Brits". "A tune more interesting that Winona Ryders shopping bag" (when she got caught shop lifting...) "maximum speaker devastation and sonic penetration" "always dramatic, never amateur!" "Raising the stakes with 2 hours of rare tuneage" "Flatter than a LCD TV" Here are some I added myself "Tunes designed for so much gyration, you might find your head turning backwards like something out of The Exorcist" "Delivering the goods to you like parcel force" "More crunch than a golden delicious" "Taking your temperature and diagnosing it with a Saturday Fever" "A track with more teeth than melinda messenger" "Meaty beats that can be stewed up"

Yeh - how on earth are they cheesy? If anything, they are intellectual and what is more, I like how he invents smoe of them according to whats going in the media. Uber - nice find, I was gona post some myself, I think we need either Simmy, Bjorn or Tim to have a say in this, but it would be nice to these documented and viewable for members only.
