  1. by the off chance today, i recommended to dean to sign up to the board. he recently visited colourfest like some of you's. he sent me a file of halliwell and I am fairly certain (which is a major major coincidence) that tim, steve and jules briefly walk past! how crazy is that! you can check the link out here - let us know what you think! http://www.djnoff.com/aza/eddie_halliwell.MOV
  2. Yeh Dean mate, that setup is surely the shizzle. Glad you took some of my advise on getting the best of the best. When I first started out on vinyl, i contemplated getting some cheapies just to muck around with... I wanted to take dj'ing seriously, so went out and got the technics mk2, which proved awesome in every respect! I did start off with a sh!t mixer though, until i worked my self up to the djm 600. jus the overall quality of the sound on the djm is immense, you can surely tell the difference on the output. there are so many tricks and efx you can do i wouldnt know where to start! With the cdjs now you need not worry about sampling on the mixer, you can record up to 8 beats and loop that, but thats the same on the cdjs now. i am sure loads of people will tell you pending on the type of music you play, only use certain efx. i tend to use the flanger, filter, transform, echo and i still learning the delay. I love how eddie performs the delay effect! the djm does a lot fo the hardwork for you, by automatically adjusting parameters to suit the speed of the effect you want, you can perform 1/2 beats, 1/4 beats etc... and adjust the parameter yourself to get the maximum effect!
  3. hey dean. Glad ya signed up, this is a decent board and very friendly and going on what I've learnt from our previous convo's it is right up your street! You will find lots of mixes here from the likes of us, which I know you love, and should also help you on your way as you climb up through the bedroom djing experience with those new cdjs you got
  4. interesting stuff mate god help me if i had to get up at 6 - that time of day doesnt exist for me! I remember I gave my dad a lift to the airport at 4am - roads were lush, but he had to drive there so i could sleep, despite being up, i could not help drifting! its great being a student when you get 11 o clock lectures!

    Techical advice

had a similar problem like this before, only with winamp and media player. I use winamp as my default player and media player (using microsoft monopoly technology) changed my settings... for anything you want to associate default files, applications with etc... open my computer > tools > folder options > file types here lists all file types associated on your computer, if you want to change things, for example, i use internet explorer to view jpegs, then change it here
  8. do i update my cv and go job hunting for the summer..? or, do i chill out and watch the footy and wimbledon, whilst contemplating life

  13. Quality What difficulty to you play on? Im still on 2 stars - think I have mastered it, but when I play with 3 stars, I get minced...
  14. not really worth - it is inevitable that the file recorded regardless of its device needs to be put onto a computer. it is best to just record direct to your hardrive through software. I use nero wave editor, and despite me not editing tracks etc, the software allows you to do this if necessary. You can also use "cool edit", which christian is familiar with...
  15. Chrissie - ill throw you a copy on cd no probs  Anyone else feel free to shout! Thanks to everyone again - big big big up 8-)
  16. WOW! Been out all day and just returned to see some great responses Thank you v.much people - and its a bonus to see that you all enjoyed the mix! Its been in the pipeline for a while, however with examinations etc of recent, its proved very tough to get on the cdjs Christian has come the closest, and every ID is spot on in there. Only corrections I have is the labels... Endless Wave is on Data Records for me, Starparty is on Incentive... Track which is tricking all you guys is by a guy who, Dormouse has been in contact of recent - AVB... Its called 'Rising Star - Clear Blue Moon' on Armind records Many many thanks for all your feedback - I have 10 Cd-rs burned for give away. Nevertheless, as this is the best board online and everyone is cool as ice, if I am lucky enough to get over 10 requests ill sort you out PM me your address if interested folks Quadrant, SHOKK remixed Altitudes track self titled 'Altitude'... The remix in question is the 2001 Altitude mix 8-) 8-)
  17. I bigged you up man, not stealin it, just thought it would be good to do the same and keep you all on your toes... 8-)
  18. Right people, as promised I have produced a second installment to entertain you lot following up my previous mix. This time, we take a step backwards (yet again) to highlight some big tunes of my time (particularly growing up) and tunes that got me into the music scene! These tunes were around pretty much when I was growing up through high school (so you could call them old skool - bigsteve ) Like Jason has done previous, you have to guess the tracklistings before I reveal all to you lot. Rather than PM me, feel free to post up your suggestions in this post (I dont think it should be too hard for you mental trancers!!!) Here is the link... (many thanks again Noff ) http://www.djnoff.com/aza/for_the_sun_to_s...ixed_by_aza.zip I hope you lot can also post me some feedback and let me know your thoughts regarding the mix. Enjoy (the bassfly ;)!!!)...

Quadrant has been a major help! Despite some of the sh!t stirrers on jj.net, some are actually well geared up on the techy side of things! I've carried out a bit of digging, but it does look a rather difficult process, nevertheless, I think its achievable and will give it a bash after next weeks exam is finished! Ill let you know if I come up with anything, never know, you guys my need such idea for future ref ;) ;) ;)
