  3. Thanks for sharing this info too (I was also after - although a fair while ago now - the Fergie Remix of Malice In Wonderland (I featured the Original of that mix on a tech/hard-trance/house mix)! I was quite a fan [Felix - Don't You Want Me] of that track and bought the Euphoria CD, it was one of Dave Pearce's stronger ones - this together with 'Total Euphoria'.
  4. Haven't been spinning that much of late, but over recent times my appetite has moved to Progressive House and in particular a fave producer of mine, Jeremy Olander. There's more background over on the below link, but just thought I'd share with you a tribute mix I put together: https://soundcloud.com/aza-dj/aza-pres-jeremy-olander-tribute
  5. Gonna download this now and add to playlist on my phone to check out, thanks Christian. Speaking of Guy J, he did a great remix of many of our board favourites, "Twice As Nice", great track!
  6. It's so good to see this up here for us all, such a wonderful idea from Tim and getting Jules to agree and produce the goods is just awesome! The tracklisting is class, so so many amazing contributions from us all - and having Jules saying it brought back memories says everything about the music, the dj, the fans and the timeless era. The mixing is great and the layout of the set is great; can also see a few personal contributions from Jules there with his own track toward the end and finishing with the 'Chilled version of Voices', which I know is his favourite Hi-Gate track. All tracks were so great to hear again, a few I'd forgotten, but the one that stood out the most for me (so far on 1st listen) is "G.D's. - 'Choral Reef'" , "Salt Tank (feat. Neve) - 'Eugina (I Want To Be Free)' (Unreleased 2001 Club Mix)'" and of course (probably one of my all time faves, ever), "Team SR - Leaving London" - love it how Jules has placed it as the penultimate track to end the mix before wrapping with "Voices"

  9. I think I've got this, I had it on a 'white' label - will PM
  10. I enjoyed this mix, thanks both. I think it was actually very well constructed considering - I guess - that you freestyled and just had a jam? Sometimes these are the best way mixes turn out. It would be great at some point, it opportunities and schedules permit to have a spin all together Think track 6 was my fave and was great to hear again. Also, like Fuzzy said, the last three tracks were great and a nice way to round off the set. Putting the track times was a nice touch - and as I always like to do, I've used those to make a cue sheet which helps compliment the mix file. I've attached it for yourselves and everybody else's liking if of use. 2015-06-20-TimTraillXChristianHann.zip
  11. I seriously don't think he has it any more! But I'll ask, there's no harm in trying. I bet you he does Be good to get the response to that question, though!
  12. Looks like the deadline has been extended to end of July... Should be easy for Jules to whip this up, he's just released that "Trance Classic" mix and that set at Luminosity featured the same sort of stuff (that was a great set btw!). I haven't had much of a chance yet, but I'm looking to offer up a 'B' side to this mix of Jules' for us all on here to celebrate such a milestone achievement, add to the fun of it and provide the entertainment
  13. This looks and sounds like a lot of fun - kinda wish I could've maybe joined in the jamming - and great to see you getting together and putting this out there to share. I'll download this from your Soundcloud link and put it on the phone so I can check it out whilst on the move

    Gouryella Returns

Beautiful track, ticks all the boxes trance wise! Thanks for sharing Can hear all the classic Gouryella elements (structures and similarities with 'Tenshi' and shows trance at it's best - and, Ferry showing he still got it and knows how to put out quality music!
  15. This is a surprise, mind you I haven't been checking what's been released mix compilation wise lately. Having looked at the tracklist my initial thoughts are mixed; I think on the whole it's sound, and there are a fair few cracking tracks which I shortlisted for what would be our own special board mix from Jules v.soon, but it looks a little out of sorts having some really old anthems mixed in with the new material which I don't quite think are anthems e.g. Mystery Land in to Violetta and SVD's take on Joyenergizer in to 10 in 1..? Great tracks but not quite as established in terms of 'anthems', in my opinion. I can see smack bang in the middle of mix one Jules' all time fave tunes: "13 .Nightmare - Brainbug 14 Alone Tonight - Above & Beyond". Brainbug we all know is one of Jules' all time fave, and I featured ';Alone Tonight' on a mix here when putting together a male vocal trancers set I will probably check this out - and thanks for sharing Jase - but would probably pass on it if it weren't mixed by the Judge himself. Quite a strange coincidence as well this coming out and with us looking to have a special 10 year celebration mix...
  16. Decision made! I'm going to go with: Team SR - Leaving London (Original Mix)

    Clubbed 2002

I didn't know that such approach/things existed - and thanks for the extra info, Briggsy. I think that promo offering looks a cracking mix! Clubbed 2002 was more a 'darker' mix - going back to almost the original feeling of the first Clubbed mix. Enjoyed 2002 because - for me at the time - it had Jules putting tracks on there that I'd not heard him play on air. I remember I just bought a copy of Till Tears Do Us Part and coincidentally found it on this mix
  18. I guess most here recall 'PPK - Resurection'... What a tune - at the time - and I'm sure Jules hammered the hell out of this. I can't recall who was the first dj to receive the exclusive on this - or at least play it on air on R1 - was it Jules, Dave Pearce, Tong - or was it Oaky? Oaky eventually signed it... Edit: Tim, think you/we should also ask Jules to take his pick and add in his own fave track in this honour too ??
  19. Speaking of the great 'Push' aka MIKE, I'd like to add 'The Legacy' as a track suggestion. Can't believe I overlooked this as it is one of my all time fave tracks and couldn't get the memory in gear correctly to recite! I remember Jules - probably only ever happening once on his R1 shows - having this track Tried and Tested twice (possibly was two weeks in a row)!
  20. Tim, such a fantastic idea - marking both our achievements on this site (fundamentally your technological baby) and helping in recognition of your mum - thanks for offering us the opportunity to contribute! Jules was my first DJ idle and most of my fondest memories of getting in to trance / dance music are because of him. He's always been more of the 'presenting the music' to me whilst I then branched off to other DJ's as my mixing skills developed/evolved. I also recall almost quite ritualistically programme timering my old tape deck to record the Saturday night warm ups (5-7pm) whilst I was holding down a part time Saturday job and I think for me that's setting the theme for the songs/tracks I'm selecting here. Here they are for now before we whittle them down: - Brooklyn Bounce - Club Bizarre (Tomcraft Remix) - Ayu - Audience (Darren Tate Remix) - Boca - Play With Me (Bellfire Remix) - Systematic Parts - Don't Walk Away - Dark Monks - Insane (Steve Murano Remix) - Red Carpet - Alright (Brad Carter Remix) - VPL - T Break - The Clergy - The Oboe Song (Green Martian Remix) - Jurgen Vries - The Theme (Original Mix) - Steve Murano - Bootleg Beats 002 (Original Mix) - Jones & Stephenson - The First Rebirth (Liquid Overdose Remix) - Tilmann Uhrmacher - On The Road - Warrior - If You Want Me - Team SR - Leaving London (Original Mix) - Gladiator - Now We Are Free (Judge Jules Remix) Forgive the four lots of 4-5 tracks, I'll reflect then try pick a select few! Or - lol - I'd be up for putting together a CD2 mix for us with the left over tunes equally for the same cause and reasons you post Aza
  21. I'd beg to differ, and do think he did. There's elements from the track you can hear in his other productions; granted those were colabs with Masterson, but you could always tell, esp with Hi-Gate material what was Jules signatory and what was Masteron. Edit: I've managed to find a rip (from this site originally) which has Jules saying on air the background of the track. Listen for yourselves, but he definitely says: "...when the film came out, via a connection at a record company, managed to get the original score to this, made my record with it, got Hans Zimmer's permission, played itto him and - saying this is what I've done, and he said no way are you putting that out. So I was never able to release the record despite getting a load of support from other DJs..." I'd offer again to email Jules as I'd love to still know what the true answer to what we're discussing here is, but I'm guessing from no responses to my email, on this particular matter, I've probably miffed him - 'cos I did also ask if there would be change I could get a copy of the track to finish up my tribute mix to him, this site and his Radio 1 show's for getting me in to dance music :s I left the mix unfinished hoping for a response, but unfortunately had to proceed and instead finished up with no doubt another one of his personal fave's, Brainbug. The mix is here is your interested http://www.judgejulesarchive.co.uk/archives/board/index.php?/topic/7919-sensation-mixed-by-aza/ 2003 - Judge Jules talking about his Gladiator track.mp3
  22. I've emailed Jules - twice - in the past asking about this track and contrary to what he always used to do for all fans and still states on his website, I've never got a reply Personally, I think this is an entirely solo production. I recall he said on air he was a big fan of the film and that inspired him to produce. I also think his offering was one of the first out on the scene before Tate's and subsequently Dave Lambert's guise of Gladiator, which became titled "Now We Are Free (feat Lizzy)". This was cleared for release as it changed the sample used from the film quite a lot. On a quick separate note, Jivemaster, how did you get in touch with Paul Masterton and Darren Tate? I'd like to contact Masterson as I need help with a few tracks, which is a long shot, but I'd like to enquire
  23. I'm off mixed feeling with his sets; yes they are generally all own productions, but for me, the productions are great. Yes, there are a few here and there that aren't fully consistent with the benchmark of Prydz, but I've always enjoyed them. I think some of the Prydz stuff under his own name i.e. Eric Prydz is more driven by the label than him. It's to try cater for the audiences. You just look at this difference between that and Pryda, or even Cirez D. Olander is following closely in suit. I did love his warm up set for Eric as part of EPIC 3.0, and he's now throwing sets out with the majority of his own tunes. But his last few releases have been quality, for me. 'Jackie' is a superb track. Nonetheless, I'm sure you'll both probably still look at the tracklist and check it out
  24. Looks like this could be the best mix of 2015! https://twitter.com/essentialmix/status/535562907032231937 Have been following both of these very closely this year - my fave DJ's / producers by far!
