  1. Quadders, we posted pretty much the same comment within 3 minutes of each other, but in different threads....now I'm scared.
  2. If only he still had them and hadn't sold them all  JJ is bigger than Pete Tong in radio show respect IMO. Who's running the website for all the Essential Selections then? Tongy may have the contacts, the influence and the 'Essential' motif, but JJ brings the kids in in droves and he can actually mix, without the need for ableton! Fecking superstar DJ's...there's just no telling them is there?!!?!
  3. He's taking a pretty poor attitude just fobbing people off with that line, it's an easy way out. I think most clubbers get too f***** out of their faces nowadays to care...drop in a quick sample of something they'll recognise over a dirty filthy electro house track (as a lot of stuff - not just Jules' - seems to be these days) and they'll be happy. I've struggled to get on board with this filth sound that Jules has embraced. The few clubbers out there that remember Jules riding the Unicorn on that late 1999 Mixmag cover as he was crowned best DJ, simply don't find it good enough anymore. Since I've been on this board, there's been a topic every now and again from a regular saying Jules has been shit for too long and they won't go and see him again. One of his last sets at Godskitchen got slated on here (I actually enjoyed it though lol) I hope he pulls it out of the bag for Hallowe'en as I fear I might be saying the same before long. Even then though, I'd never call Jules shit...he's been a fantastic all-rounder (DJ/Producer/Radio DJ/Promoter) and I owe him a massive debt for so many memorable, great nights.
  4. He's also appeared on Tiesto's Club Life a few weeks ago, but not sure if this was for a guest mix.
  5. Hopefully he still glances at this board from time to time and takes heed! Unless Trissy reads it for him. Hopefully they'll split soon and we can label it 'A lovers trist' hahaha (fetches coat) Oh I miss the days when Patterson sorted his tunes out!
  6. I hope its not A&B. It'd just turn into an vehicle for them to showcase two hours of the latest Anjuna tunes
  7. I don't think Jules will go anywhere...or Tongy for that matter...They both still have major influence (especially interesting to read about Pete Tongs power to control nights in Ibiza, if it's true anyway!) and Jules has a very busy club night in Ibiza that lots of newcomers to the dance scene no doubt attend at some point! I don't really know what Jules is playing at recently. He does seem to have either lost total interest or is being given some very bad PR advice from someone (and I think there's another thread about that ;-)). I've not seen him play out in a while, but when people have slated him I've enjoyed his sets bar the dodgy bootlegs There has always been a place in Jules' sets for those though! :-D Bootleg quality died on its arse with the advent of mp3's years ago though. I'd love to hear Jules get back to his production heights of The Clergy and Hi-Gate...I'm guessing 'Trissy' is not the new Paul Masterson though. Hope he isn't floating around on Pimps & Whores night when I go.
  8. The final series' housemates were poorly chosen as they were a few years ago (not last years, that was great). I only missed about 4 series in total though and feel like I've watched the best ones. Will be sorry to see it go when I think of the better years, but reckon it'll be back in some shape or form on another channel anyway.
  9. busy working on the tracklisting archive...

  10. He was quality back in the day. Sorry to see another legend jumping the great trance vessel. Still, on the plus side, there have been some great DJ's enter the trance scene recently; Simon Patterson has been playing some awesome sets of late.
  11. I've seen another comment somewhere today querying which track is which... They must both be very similar I guess! Can't find a discogs entry for the Umek named track though.
  12. the last track is Umek - Recycled (DJ Montana mix)...Ferry Corsten played it towards the end of his 2004 EM.
  13. Have they indeed? Glad I raided their archives before they did that! I've got this, but it exceeds the 128mb upload limit so I can't upload it directly to the board....pretty sure one of the admin has it tucked away pending upload though. EDIT: Just checked the shoutbox on mixriot and apparently they have been told by the BBC to take down BBC-related content, possibly because they are an American site and charge by subscription for the services. Hope that's the only reason, as I'd hate to see anything happen to this board!
  14. Spain for me too. I'll win £40 on the sweepstake at work if they do!
  15. Nice one, looking forward to listening to this...Don't recognise some of these, I love those forgotten classics.
  16. Another +1 for the Wonky vs Radiohead mix, got it on vinyl myself, an wicked tune.
  17. Ahhhh! Just listening to this set now....awesome stuff! Hardaway, wish I could have been there! Sounds like a cracking atmosphere in there that night.
  18. seriously needs to find the 2nd part of my ballot paper before voting finishes!

    Election Poll

Not sure yet either. Watching the debate tonight seems to have put things in a new light.
  20. Pete Tong, Ritchie Hawtin, Sasha live from Liverpool http://www.bbc.co.uk/programmes/b00s0vgw
  21. Tickets bought ages ago, really looking forward to this after hearing him drop Piledriver last time.
  22. Heard lots of good things about that CD, yet I've never really gave it a listen all the way through.
  23. My thoughts exactly. I didn't miss an Armin set at Gods from Jan03-April08, and he was there every month throughout 2004. One of the best nights I've ever had was his 9 hour set in March 2004 which was so fecking good, I still get hairs standing on end thinking about the tunes he played that night. His next one for Gods birthday in Sept 2005 couldn't even touch it. I'm just not really into the direction Armin has gone down, more proggy than anything else, but not very good prog either; exactly what Tiesto did about 5 years ago. At least PvD has always retained his own sound. At that time though 2003-04, Armin was the best DJ in the world IMO.
  24. They've both gone down the path of being shit after being at No.1 in the DJ mag poll for two years as well.
  25. http://www.discogs.com/release/2205818 Added the white label to Discogs.
