  1. Excellant!!!
  2. Huge thanks for this, managed to ID some tunes for my tapes....love it
  3. Well haven't listened to much recently and thought I'd check some out that I'd not got around to listening to much. I've scrawlled a note saying 'gem for me' and looking back over it I can see why. I liked a tune, I think by CJ Bolland ? - the Prophet, which appears to be sampled here, and also a version of Snap and a Everthing But the Girl tunage (being a fogie liking old skule stuff.) Loved the mix at the end
  4. Nice post. Wonder who they're trying to reach with this advice 'cos perhaps it's a bit too late for Jules fans! Interesting new image though!
  5. Welcome... Too right feel privileged, as am from the opposit end of the age spectrum We were veering that way anyway through early 90s dance and Pete Tong when me and my partner split, but with the 'reinvention' thing after became a taxi for my nephew and his mates and freqented the local dance clubs where people just went to dance not to pull.....good times.
  6. Too true...they seem to be still here. I don't really come across things like this as they've usually been sorted so it's an eye opener for me.
  7. Well finally got around to having my ears tested with the result geting I need hearing aids But in my case it's not due to years of abuse partying there's a congenital aspect!
  8. Just seen this thread, I'd've suggested Spoiled and Zigo's More ....
  9. YEP, as everyone else says 'tis a great show with loads of old faves in there, thanks for the chance!
  10. Yeah at last! some classic tunes here; not come across a forgotten or dismissed classic.... but great listening. Actually starting to quite like 'Hazel' - was the tune on one show he dedicated to me and my work chums, I remember I was hoping for some class like Veracocha at the time
  11. .....thinks .....should've had van Persie
  12. oh WOW! some choice tracks on here, plus the not so's aswell. But how could I forget Cascade's Transcend ? for me a re-discovery....well, an ID!
  13. I was old then! I hit the scene in 98 after coming out of a long relationship doing the proverbial reinvention thing and being a taxi for my nephew and his mates. I've been through many scenes as it were, primarily rock based but with an excursion into the new romantic/new wave thing early 80s as music developed. Thing is, when these trends develop they are great, vibrant and new; there seems to be a creative energy which lasts a few years but generally starts petering out when comercialism gets involved. TBH, I find those years 98-around 02 the easiest to retune to and they're what I listen to the most. I really have to be in a certain mood to listen to anything else, and I don't think it's because it's most the recent music in my life experience. I got invovled in a dodgy kind of relationship at that time which could have affected my memories/emotions but it hasn't. The music lives on....
  14. WEH-HEY!!!! been here three years now!!!! my first ever forum....

  15. Generally I'm not a great fan of the live recordings with audience noise and whistles etc so don't really bother, but downloaded this by 'mistake' and think it's superb! .....might be a convert here!
  16. Well thanks for the chance to re-listen or though, to be honest, this recording doesn't sound that clear to me but I think I burned it to disc on some wrong settings, haven't got time to fiddle....heaps more to feast on first!
  17. oh those times........just lovin' this one
  18. ....frightening that it's 20 years ago!
  19. (....added the info....) Uploaded on Jan 17, 2011 This lost classic, shot on 16mm in a wintry Berlin in 1993, explores the origins of the now monumentally massive German Trance and Dance music scene. With interviews with luminaries such as Dr Motte, Paul van Dyk, Laurent Garnier, Paul Browse, Mijk van Dijk and MFS label supremo Mr Mark Reeder this now legendary exploration into the underworld of what was the most significant force in driving dance music forward in the 20th century. It contains rare early footage of the 1991 and 1993 Love Parade, and of the now bulldozed Mutoid Waste Company land, E-Werk and Tresor - Berlin's legendary (and now closed) clubs that started it all in the former East Berlin. Directed by Ben Hardyment this documentary is imbued with an uplifting and extremely positive energy - there are rumours of a film sequel in the pipeline, but for now, sit back and enjoy 25 minutes of pure trance music history. 00:42 Secret Knowledge - Sugar Daddy Effective Force - Illuminate The Planet (World In Order Mix) Kool & The Gang - Fresh The Visions Of Shiva - How Much Can You Take? (Physical) 030 feat. Dr Motte - Midnight In Europe (Stop Over Mix) Effective Force - Diamond Bullet (Act 2: Beyond Judgement) Humate - Love Stimulation (Love Mix by Paul van Dyk) The Visions Of Shiva - Perfect Night Marmion - Schöneberg Robert Armani - Circus Bells (Hardfloor Remix) Alien Factory - Beta Music Vernon - Wonderer (Instrumental Mix) Vernon - Vernons Wonderland (Chapter 2 The Future) Paul van Dyk - My World (Visual Valley Mix)
