  1. Hello there new folks! Tis a brilliant place to be
  2. Seasonal greetings to all from me too! My first and favourite forum, playing a vital role cataloguing that special era of dance music. Many thanks and raise a glass.....
  3. I disagree with this Chewbs! They are wonderful examples of Jules's excellent choice of crossover tracks back in the day. The 'Extek' track for example starts from almost nothing, but it just builds and builds with layers and layers and layers of percussion.... that's depth. Absolutely magnificent start to the half hour mix! Still haven't given it that extra blast yet but will do so upon your recomendation. It's just initially nothing jumped out and hit me in the face! There's just sssoooo much to get through and ofcourse - being in the mood....at the moment I'm listening to ..er...singing music 'cos with the crap going down at work my spirits need lifting before I get there!
  4. ooops! some of the tunages/sounds mentioned above are quite cool eg '80's electronica; and I like a bit of the old folk music too! but I confess to owning and singing along with Lady GAGA ! :silenced:
  5. In some respects I find it strange, particularly if they were out on the scene at the time 'cos of the shared experiences if they freqented specific club/s or events. Although when I went I was a bit old to socialise at that level - I was taxi to my nephew and his mates - there was a lot of comaraderie around  ....having said that - nice one Mitchmix99, just seen the view new content list!
  6. Deefo, people went to dance to the music because of the music....think there's a quote somewhere in the '90's cult tv series 'this life' where the gist of it is 'wrong decade...people go to clubs to dance not to pull....'
  7. Just noticed those in the navigation window and I think they're a great addition. I've a tendancy to make little lists and have a few of those sprawled around so great stuff and thanks.....
  8. Awesome; I have a version of this too off Jules.....well for one recording I've scrawled 'new mix', but I think that's just what he says.
  9. Well quite liking the Tomcraft tune which I've previously overlooked......nice....
  10. Just been playing the 2000-01-28 sesh and glancing through the track listing noticed Dave the Drummer & Jerome Hill in the mix; this one's 'Hydraulix 3' though.
  11. The stuff I've so far listened to here has revealed nothing new (as in what I'm searching for) for me as yet, although there's some strange kinda stuff. But it's great to hear great classics referred to as new releases!
  12. ....done one....(well 3 actualy, ended up 49000th= in the sun last year so it's not something I'm overly fussed about; just gives that bit extra when I'm checking my coupon....)
  13. The usual classics from this era stand out by far so no 'discoveries' for me unfortunately.... but thanks for the chance....
  14. oh dear....not good....a sibling of mine has hearing aids and I'm always on about getting mine checked out properly....
  15. I'll see if I can rustle something up again even though I know nowte, it's addictive putting teams together.... (I used to do syndicate stuff with a long since gone ex, hence my vague interest.)
  16. Just perusing Tinnitus threads for tips as mine is playing up...I have a hearing impediment anyway which doesn't help matters. Am not a headphone wearer so in these later years I have to blame blasting music in the car, plus I work near aeroplanes. I gather there's not much you can do about it except try to block it out
  17. Oh well, doesn't appear to be that particular Sonique sesh (am a bit OCD about these things). But just to mention Fuzzy put me onto a site a while ago that had PT tracklistings. http://replay.waybackmachine.org/20081025134933/http://www.aimless.demon.co.uk/em/selection.htm
  18. Agree excellant find, looks like could date the Sonique sesh I uploaded to 1st of May '98? not tried downloading ote yet but some of the tracks mentioned look very similar to those on my tapes (unsurprisingly) as I did tape off PT too.... ....just checked my little note book and seen the refs for DR and Madonna a couple of times and Esperanza....exiting times - just going exploring!
  19. Love it; in fact it seems I've quite a bit from this session on tape but well adulterated. Think I must of had a frenzy and just blitzed this program. I seem to recall the competition thing of the guy going for a new record.....think I've commented elsewhere.... The mix does finish banging but I'm going to have to get used to the extened version! Thanks,
  20. ..wheh-hey....gonna see what I've missed...
  21. Hi, I've tended to focus more on the studio mixes and sessions as am not too partial to crowd noise on the live sets....a couple of sesh's that stand out for me :- 2004-02-28 2000-04-14 1999-06-25
  22. Cool, that'll be great to hear the rest of this....and thanks too Fuzzy...
