  1. oh yes.....love it....and I've ..ermmmm....recognised unnamed tracks on my tapes....GD - Choral Reef and the Digger track! ...well I'm not on the case all time and to have just 'instrumental' scrawled in my track descriptions isn't too helpful.......but it's a well good show!!!
  2. A difficult call as I'm drawn to different aspects for different reasons. I was at work Fridays but managed to coerce the girls to listen in - we had the awful Trent FM play list weekdays that they liked to sing a long with....got one covert out of it though. I was also out clubbing in late 90's to 2001. My tapes from that era are bitty and interspersed with Pete Tong, save a couple of little mixes I've uploaded, hence I've the tunes but don't know the artist - except for the obvious classics. So I can't really tell how good a show is by just looking at the listing.....it's nice to take a chance and get a surprise and think 'I've got that!', but I don't like all that cheesy disco-esque type stuff. Early '00s I stayed in with the radio on - up dating the Saturday footy data for our syndicate. But there were some powerful mixes from that era - so I can't say the earlier shows win hands down 'cos to me it was the mixes that made it. His shows just built up to that final half hour. (He did have a phase of playing something particularly dreadful in this era which just wasn't music - perhaps he was just nob twiddling........ thing is, I can still hear that shite!) Finally stopped listening 2006 so can't comment.
  3. Welcome, 'tis a truly awesome site indeed, genius.......
  4. Just to say had same problem. The ones I'd tried to upload were just part mixes so I thought I'd 'done something' whilst tidying them up to upload. Will give this a listen later...
  5. Interesting you put that 'cos back in the day I had this argument at work with this guy who said it was 'It's Friday, lets party' or something like that...I assumed he was right as my hearing isn't that good; I thought it was what you put. (Not that it matters now as we've all gone separate ways....different companies etc)
  6. It only stated 'white label' on the site I researched for dating it (big thanks to Fuzzy for that site). I love the mixing of 'Flesh' into 'More and More'....deafened many a passenger!

  8. Nice little mix this, the only one I'm not really sure of is track 3. Good bit of warm nostalgia.
  9. Tin Tin Out 'Dance With Me' featuring Tony Hadley - the Tin Tin Out mix (not the slower radio edit)
  10. Had a go at uploading a couple of mixes which failed, but having just read this they should be covered by what's in the vaults anyway....
  11. TB....oh yes!.....FAB track! Just popped on Pukaar by GD again.....

Anyone remember the Micheal Wood (historian) series 'In Search Of?'; he kicked off with a brilliant series late 70's with 'In Search Of the Dark Ages' which was never released on DVD (something to do with it being shot on 16mm?); set the tone of documentaries to come with his style being emulated by many.....(except for the tight jeans )
  13. ....just tried exorcising to some early oldschool 'party zone'.....not a chance!!!!!

I like it, can appreciate it, wach it sometimes but not avidly. I am partial to Dark Ages / Saxon stuff though.
  15. Cool! That's a nice bit of recognition, especially for Neuro and co...
  16. It's sad. It's a shame. But had to come at some point. I actually like that he wants to focus on a different career while he's still young enough, to me (selfishly) it preserves the best ; better than to be cabaret another 20 years down the line (IMO - thinks back to a load of fogies chanting the lyrics to 'youth gone wild' at Rock City...oh dear... ) . We were the lucky ones - we were there. We recognise his value to a special kind of music so am in agreement with previous posters........might even start listening again in case he starts pulling it out the bag with some forgotten classics......
  17. The most iconic for me was at a street party - radio one PeteTong at the millennium greeting 2000 with Binary Finary....
  18. Interesting, I just downloaded this without being logged in....out of interest-not that I'd know it.....
