Only listened to half of this at the mo' and am well happy! as have tracks 9 and 8 together off this show, without credits, already worked out the 'Mad8' track - was poignant at the time but couldn't find the first artist to the track prior ....yippee....
Was amused by 'the Anarchist'. Hadn't kept that on tape but am glad to have a listen now. Looking forward to listening to the rest.....
UD: WOW!!!! Although the first half hour isn't really my taste wasn't expecting the quality to be upheld in the rest......really awesome, not too gimmicky, just beautiful....

Rememeber listening to this show live - The Trophy Twins must not have gotten many promos in 2004 if that piece of shite was their tune of the year
....see what you mean now I've put the tune to the artist....not blown away by this Christmas Special as it's a medley of tastes, and I've not 'discovered' anything that'd overlooked. 'Lola's theme' was never a favourite of mine but funny listening back, it's grown on me. As with the 'Alter Ego' track - Eric Pridz, I almost like it....
-
Not listened yet but have a couple of these tracks together already....will be interesting to see what the surrounding tunes are....
...have listened now but have no 'discoveries', the shouts are annoying else not bad....
-
...eerrrmmm...I have 'heard' this but not listened....(was engrossed in painting), therefore didn't distract me enough to take note other than 'that's not the mix......' will give it a blast in the car instead.

Hiya there people and welcome, tis truly a fantastic archive.....
-
Thanks....I think it works out between 30 to 40 hours worth....I've been busy in the garden over summer and had to try to set time aside. I usually try to paint for anything between 5 to 8 hours in a sesh rather than half an hour here or there as I like to get 'involved'. Must confess to it appearing a better quality on photo than in 'real life' as I'm a bit sloppy, need to improve technique. Can't imagine how the original must look in oils, am still tinkering with acrylics...
(soz if this has come up as a double post but I was sure I entered it earlier.... )

Well just finished this...tis my attempt at a cover of an 'Eerie' magazine #23, original artist Frank Frazetta. I got proportions wrong so am missing left hand side (couldn't be bov'd to draw it out again). Needs tweaking really as I couldn't quite make out some of the detail, but want to start something new....

Soz.....was hoping to find some gems and I'm sure they're there if this is your taste. Initially I thought the listing looked inviting with the smattering of gorgeous classics in there, but to me, that's all there is. I found the main rather repetitive disco flavoured and I'm from the old hippie school. Think the last track caught my attention but not enough to go 'wow'....but thanks for the chance anyhow ....
-
....well, been a couple of years since I last did one, am doing the Sun so thought I might as well bulk the numbers up!!!
-
Hi there and welcome.... could this be the set I uploaded, I don't remember that Jules quote but she sings 'Spell on you' in her free style kinda way and the lines 'I wanna go a little craz-zee uh ummm or maybe I already am oh yeah I've forgotten'....? I simply love this sesh and it's housed in the miscellaneous audio archive.....DO hope it's what your after!

.....nnn-iii-ccc-eee......should be house-working but hey!

Miss Peppermint - Let Me Hear the DJ........
ooohhhhh - awesome 'orchestral' not made enough of in this tunage, and I can't stop bouncing around to it....(strange sight)....
-
Lovely!
What can I say that's not been said before?
You just don't have to of ' been there ' to thoroughly enjoy this epic; it holds it's own today.....
-
uumm uumm....back in the day, a great trip back in time with memorable classics and some not so. There's a certain feel when listening to the actual show of the time which I just don't get as strong as when I play the vinyl/CD . Like the popular 'Happiness Happening' before it cheesed out in the charts had this certain feel in the clubs.... And the majesty of Carte Blanche...'twas then all new.
ha ha...thanks for the memories!!!
-
Looks good against your wall though...
-
Great stuff Cheese! JasonB -I was expecting a portrait.... . I like the style, tis something I've never had chance to develop...hence copy....
-
aaahhh, neat! Love these, the step by step progression...oils? can see you're a 'proper'/creative artists as oppose to a copyist like me. To be hung on that wall? looks awesome with the orange background emphasising the light........
And looking forward to seeing Cheeses portrait too!
-
Yeah, no....couldn't get it to download even after following the advice given to Cheese. Just use bog standard windows and firefox, usually no problems. So I downloaded the 18/12 instead without issue....
-

I agree whole heartedly with the sentiment. I hadn't realised that there was still animosity to electronic music after all this time and in this digital era. But then I don't mix in circles or read papers that question it.....
