  1. Jivemaster, I didn't take full tracklists for the other DJs. I felt it my duty to take one for Jules as a board member. Looking back I wish I had done more though. I would have been able to get Bond's 100%, Thrilseekers 90% and Ali & Fila probably 50%. I have a feeling that Matt Darey will be booked for the next one so I will make sure I try harder for the TLs. However, here are some additional tunes and comments from recollection: Scott Bond The Morighan - Remember (To The Millennium) (Lange Mix). This sounded OUTSTANDING front centre of the club was second tune in I think. The Generators - Where Are You Now? (Moonman Mix) Vimana - We Came Cygnus X - The Orange Theme Mauro Picotto - Pulsar Dumonde - Tomorrow Matt Darey ft. Marcella Woods - Liberation (Fly Like An Angel) (Ferry Corsten Remix). Again, the sound system really did this justice. Salt Tank - Peublo Blanco Aly & Fila I haven't been a massive fan of their to be honest, dismissing them as a new-ish breed of Trance producer and only liking the odd tune here and there. However, really they made it big in the mid-2000s so not new-breed at all. Some great tuneage and I will deffo keep an eye out for this pair again. Thrillseekers Push - Universal Nation (Ferry Corsten Remix) Chicane - Saltwater (Tomski vs Disco Citizens remix)
  2. He wasn't to bad at all with the jingles to be honest...though they weren't absent all together.
  3. Judge Jules @ Gatecrasher Boxing Day 0445-0600 01. Mauro Picotto - Save A Soul (Megavoices Claxixx Mix) 02. Jonah - Sssst... (Listen) (Original Mix) 03. DJ Tiesto - Traffic (Original Mix) 04. Dial M For Moguai - Beatbox (Knuckleheadz Remix) 05. Ariel - A9 (Original Mix) 06. Hi-Gate - Caned & Unable 07. Agenda - Heaven (Lange Remix) 08. Kristine Blond - Loveshy (Electriqe Boutique Remix) 09. Freefall feat. Jan Johnston - Skydive 10. Slusnik Luna - Sun 11. Blank & Jones - Cream 12. Mauro Picotto - Iguana (Megavoices Mix) 13. Cosmic Gate - Firewire 14. Mauro Damagio - I'm Damaged (Lizarazu Mix) 15. Joy Kitikonti - Joyenergizer (Psico Mix) 16. DJ Sakin & Friends - Protect Your Mind (Braveheart) (Lange Remix) 17. Southside Spinners - Luvstruck (Original Mix) Encore 18. Delerium - Silence (DJ Tiesto Remix) Some reflections on was another superb event from Gatecrasher this year. The majority of our time was spent in the main room with a few forays into the upstairs, Vinyl only area where I was treated to Sasha - Xander. Late to get going, as the crowd didn't really turn up until around 2300, Oliver Lieb played to a basically empty main room. Scott Bond's Wet set was predictable in its tune selection, but did not disappoint in the slightest. Solar Stone was underwhelming and should have been booked prior to Bond to provide the night with a better progression. Aly & Fila, though not quite playing a 23 Years of GC set did an excellent job of building the energy of the night again with Eye of Horus being a particular highlight along with Ralphie B - Massive. The Thrillseekers stole the show next with too many classics to remember, including Veracocha - Carte Blanche and Barber's Adagio For Strings. Spirits were high at the front of the club with may shared memories returning. Finally Jules. Of the two classics sets I've seen him play one was a huge miss (GC Birmingham in I think 2012) and the last a show stealer (GC 23rd Birthday 2016); last night I am pleased to report he delivered another outstanding performance. He completely understood the tone and atmosphere of the night, providing some iconic tunage with sound mixing. While it's easy to feel a bit disappointed with Jules musically these days last night he demonstrated why he was at the top of his game from the late 90s to mid 2000s and why GC were right to keep him on as a resident DJ. Tune of the night for me was either Eye of Horus or Carte Blanche. I have some videos I'll upload later. I am investigating video editing software at the moment so I can do a proper job on YouTube with them; any suggestions would be welcome. The lazers were also STUNNING.
  4. Based on his last performance at Gatecrasher (link) I have decided to attend GC's Boxing day tonight. Jules is playing the closing set 0430-0600. I will attempt to come back with a track lists and some videos. If anyone else from the board is attending, please do let me know.
  5. Neuro and team, thank you for another year of hard work. Your efforts really are appreciated. To the regulars who still frequent these parts, thanks for helping to keep our little community alive. There is a great deal of collective knowledge between us which has been put to great use so far.
  6. Good stuff. More importantly get that donation system sorted...
  7. Great set, thanks for uploading. I'm really keen to hear more pre-98 Jules.
  8. I agree Jase. Jules has been playing the original Caned & Unable out a few times recently with excellent reactions. Such a shame to have to alter the original.
  9. I have some videos to upload! Just got to sort out a Youtube account. Edit: Have to say that Caned & Unable really blew the roof off. I didn't expect the 'Crasher regulars to respond as well as they did when I heard the bass come in.
  10. Great stuff. Looking nice and modern, though I quite liked the familiarity of the old layout. Get that paypal up ASAP and you'll get a donation from me.
  11. The last quarter of this set was a bit of a let down but the rest is classic 'Crasher & Bond. Thanks for the share Jivemaster. It's a shame no one has commented since your upload.
  12. Found! I was browsing through the Muzik mag archive which was posted on this forum (thanks to whoever put up that link) and it was in the first item I clicked on! muzik056_january_2000.pdf The times printed don't synchronise properly though: 1000-1500 - Zoe Ball : Millinneum Breakfast Show 1245-1400 - Carl Cox : In Sydney Australia 1700 - Emma B & Scott Mills : Millinneum Dance Party 1700-1800 - UK Prize Winners Party* 1800-2000 - Pete Tong : Essential Selection, Cream, Liverpool 2000-2100 - Sasha : Live Hotmix from Gatecrasher, Sheffield 2100-2230 - Danny Rampling : In Capetown South Africa 2230-2330 - Col Hamilton : In Port Rush, Northern Ireland, Lush At Kellys 2330-0030 - Dave Pearce : In Glasgow, Dance Party at King's Street Carpark 0030-0200 - Pete Tong : Cream, Liverpool 0200-0330 - Fatboy Slim : In Cardiff 0330-0445 - Judge Jules : In Sheffield, Gatecrasher at the Don Valley Stadium 0445-0600 - Junior Vasquez : In New York, Twilo 0600-0800 - Paul Okenfold : In London, Home 0930-1030 - Carl Cox : In Honollulu, Hawaii *Not listed as Jules' set but this has to be the one.
  13. One of the very few Jules' essential mixes I haven't heard. This one is bursting with energy.
  14. Jules contributed to an article on Skiddle about his possible tune selections prior to this event: Skiddle.
  15. Was this the competition which was advertised, I think, in Ministry? Also, does anyone hapen to have the whole millennium schedule? There is an interesting article from one of the engineers involved here: Eddie Gordon: Radio 1 Millennium
  16. Andy, the audio quality varies. However, everything in the archive is listenable. Keep in mind that the vast majority of audio here has been archived from FM transmission to tape (or in some cases MD) then encoded into MP3. We are always after high quality rips though so if you have some recordings at home we can help getting them ripped and online.
  17. Correction to this tracklist. At the very start of this set you can hear: 01. Nick Sentience - 'Freedom' [Nukleuz] Every other track would be then +1. I can't help with number 7 I am afraid.
  18. I'm no fan of Okenfold, but his set was actually really enjoyable. I had high hopes for Bond & Hardwick, but sadly it wasn't neary as good as Bond's solo set at the Reunion a few months eariler.
  19. Looking forward to it buddy.
  20. Yes, Jules' did a great job the other night. Loads of energy and enthusiasm for the set and great selection of tracks. I was going to post this myself but you have beaten me to it...the order is incorrect though: 01. Storm - Time To Burn 02. Joy Kitikonti - Joyenergizer (Psico Mix) 03. Yves Deruyter - Back To Earth (Rave Mix) 04. Kristine Blond - Loveshy (Electriqe Boutique Remix) 05. York - Reachers of Civilization (Rank 1 Remix) 06. Cygnus X - The Orange Theme (Moonman's Orange Juice Mix) 07. Megamind - Taub (Picotto Mix) 08. Hi-Gate - Caned and Unable 09. Starparty - I'm In Love (Ferry Corsten & Robert Smit Remix) 10. Lost Witness - Happiness Happening (Lange Remix) 11. Push - Strange World (2000 Remake) 12. Humate - Love Stimulation (Paul van Dyk's Love-Club-Mix) 13. Ratty - Sunrise (Here I Am) (Club Mix) 14. Marc Et Claude - I Need Your Lovin' (Dark Moon Remix) 15. Joshua Ryan - Pistolwhip 16. Red Light District - Did You Hear Me (Phase II Mix) 17. Ayla - Ayla (Taucher Remix) 18. Mauro Picotto - Lizard (Claxxix Mix) 19. Citizen Caned - The Journey
  21. Jacey B, could you elaborate on this more? Have you a scan of the page maybe... I'm intrigued Indeed. It would be interesting to see the track listing.
  22. Gotta love the guy screaming his lungs out during this track. Really captures the energy of a banging moment.
  23. That hardly suggests confidence in thier product either.
