  1. They have all be overplayed, but that is how things are in commercial music regardless of genre. If people are to be introduced to dance music for the first time with these sort of tracks, I don't think they're bad options at all.
  2. Have you done any more work on this chief?
  3. I wouldn't have even considered going to this one. The words pissup and brewery and cannot spring to mind when you think about Gatecrasher these days.
  4. Is it an actual router or just a hub with the net connection on the desktop? Can you see files one machine but not the other? I would suggest checking you have the same protocalls installed and make sure that the IPs are automatically assigned. I've had loads of trouble with XP not sharing files when you manually assign an IP.
  5. As the others say it doesn't really do much to be honest. However it has got potential. I don't agree with your comments that production is a world away from bootlegging. You can get really creative with bootlegs. The fingers burt tracks were an excellent example. Lethal Industry has plenty of different mixes, so I would have a listen though and see if I could nab any other samples which you can throw in. Try processing them and see if you can make them sound interesting and play with the structures of the original tunes. As far as I remember the original of lethal industry has a point in the breakdown where all you can here is the lead synth. You could sample this and throw a stab in a mini break down every 32/16 bars for example. I wouldn't just bung in an acappella for the sake of something though.
  6. I never use this. If a tune is played that fast or slow that it needs master tempo help, then you're playing the wrong tune.
  7. Obligatory disclaimer Yes I know there is a lot of absolutely dire cheesy crap released these days which isn’t fit to be recycled let alone listened to… /Obligatory disclaimer However, this past year I think there have been a number of really good commercial dance tunes; the sort that you see on MTV and hear on radio 1. What’s all the more striking is that most of these are not particularly cheesy sounding despite their commercial success. For example: Fedde Le Grand - Put Your Hands Up For Detroit (Club Mix) Alex Gaudino - Destination Calabria Mason - Exceeder Armand Van Helden - New York Camille Jones vs Fedde Le Grand - The Creeps (Club Mix) Calvin Harris - Acceptable In The 80s The Egg - Walking Away (Tocadisco Remix) This is a good thing for dance music in my view.
  8. Maurice - Feline and Huntemann - Discotech are now safe and sound in my collection. Cheers Burien.
  9. I hope this doesn't mean we're going to be hearing it solid for the next five years again!
  10. Only a passing visit I'm afraid! Battling with my dissertation and other uni related things at the moment. As for the confusion, this is how I understand it. Jules plays the Tall Paul Edit of Lizard then another tune. This could be an unkown remix of Lizard or another tune entirely, unfortunatly we haven't got enough info to ID the second tune.
  11. Its the Tall Paul Edit that Jules plays though, not the Tall Paul Mix. The Tall Paul Remix is different entirely. Even if he plays the Picotto Mix then the TP Edit, there is still a tune between Lizard(s) and Boogie Monster which needs IDing.
  12. Sorry to nit pick, and potentially muck up a seemingly complete tracklist, but I feel there's a bit of a muck up with this. I think it should read like this: 07. Mauro Picotto - 'Lizard' (Tall Paul Re-Edit) [unknown] 08. <--- ID ---> 09. Armand van Helden - 'Boogie Monster' [Armed] For one, the track after Lizard does not sound like the Tall Paul Remix. Secondly, Jules says that it's a Tall Paul Re-Edit not mix. Finally, Jules is a bit ambiguous about weather there are actually two distinct mixes of the same track, saying '...and then two mixes including a brand new Tall Paul Re-Edit of Lizard from Mauro Picotto,'. That could just as easily mean a mix of something we don't know plus the Tall Paul edit as it does two mixes of Lizard. On top of that he doesn't say which order they are in, we're just assuming it's after because he finishes by mention Lizard. Based on the fact it's clearly not the Tall Paul Remix, I think my suggested correction stands!
  13. Paul Van Dyk - Another Way / Avenue Solid Globe - Sahara / Kalahari Arrived for me this morning. 8-)
  14. Fantastic share. I've had the poor quality, short length version sitting on my HD for years. Good to finally hear the full set!
