  1. TL correction: 11. Yosh - It's What's Upfront That Counts
  2. Outstanding mix from Jules. Such a a shame the recording is incomplete. I find it really interesting how DJs can iconically link tunes to thier own identity when they aren't involved in production. Nevada - Touched By The Hand is certainly one such tune in my mind for Jules. Synchro ‎ - 'Elektrik' [Liquid Audio Soundz]; Do we have any other examples of Jules spinning Psy-Trance? 16 is "Supernova E.P." not "Supanova E.P."
  3. Some more tracklist corrections. Mac Zimms is the first tune of the half-hour mix after the jingle, and it's Godfather not Recalling '86 that he plays. Digital release of EPIII as evidence: link. 19. Mac Zimms - 'L'annonce Des Couleurs' (Original Mix) [2Play] 20. Digger - ' Godfather' (Episode III) [Casa Nostra]
  4. I am interested to hear your mix. I very rarely by new trance so hopefully I can uncover someting more modern in your mixes. I really enjoyed M.I.K.E. Push ‎– Quadrant from 2016 but that has a more Psy influence.
  5. As the regulars well know, this was given heavy support by Jules in 1999/2000, featuring prominently on Clubber's Guide to...2000. As discussed historically on the board (here and here) this was shifting for some silly prices. While it hasn't retained the peak value it is stuck in my mind as one of those tunes which were pretty rare and special to have. Finally got hold of a copy: £7.76 M/VG off eBay. The other one listed on eBay is VG/VG £49.99! I know that the value of this has depreciated since the digital release, which one can find here, but as a collector I am deeply pleased to finally pick this up without breaking my wallet.
  6. Thanks for uploading this. I know there are many, though not represented well on these boards, who feel that the 94-96 era represented Jules' peak so really good to hear pre-97 Jules recordings.
  7. A techno heavy set from Jules. TL Correction, it's A2 not A1: 14. Chris McCormack - The Maximalist (Ade Fenton Remix) [Undercover Of Darkness EP] [Materials]
  8. I have see this documentary before. Well worth a watch. I absoutley love the guy on crutches dancing at 38 seconds in!
  9. I listened to this last weekend again after searching for info on DuMonde. Some really iconic tuneage!
  10. Interesting. I haven't considered transcoding to FLAC. I rename all my downloads and put them on a RAID NAS. I import them to iTunes and convert that file to apple lossless for general listening. The wavs are also copied to an External HDD and imported into Traktor. I am probably going to start burning CDs again though with vinyl rips and downloads with inconsistent bpms.
  11. That's a shame, I wonder why? I only ever go lossy if I absoutley have to.
  12. I don't think it will ever end, as there will always be new finds, but we certainly have passed the peak and new discoveries will drop off in frequency. I have uploaded a few mixes to Fuzzy which have yet to be included and I have some recording which haven't been ripped yet; there will always be similar situations. Getting R1 to release its archive might not be impossible either. There was considerable discussion about it serveral years ago but sadly nothing happened. I am optimistic that this will happen at some point in the future.
  13. I would love to hear this now. Dance Anthems on Sunday was frequently hilarious with the callers in, and I'd be interested to hear how Jules handled it. Now that you have mentioned it I think I can just about remember this, however probably the power of suggestion rather than any concrete memory shaken out of my brain cells.
  14. On what other occasions did Jules cover for Tong on the Essential Selection? I recollect this happend a handfull of times, but I question my memory.
  15. Turn up and press play on a CD of the mix which isn't even yours!
  16. Scott Bond's playlist put together from the shared set. Scott Bond 01. The Olmec Heads - Spiritualised (The Astral Mix) 02. DJ Albert - 4G 03. Agenda - Heaven (Lange Remix) 04. Vimana - We Came 05. Lost Tribe - Gamemaster (Signum Remix) 06. Nebula B - Liquid (Thrilithon Mix) 07. The Generator - Where Are You Now? (Moonman Remix) 08. Liberation (Temptation - Fly Like An Angel) (Ferry Corsten Remix) 09. Chicane - Saltwater (Tomski vs. Disco Citizens Remix) 10. DuMonde - Tomorrow (Full On Vocal Mix) 11. Jupiter - Her Desire 15. Mauro Picotto - Pulsar (Megavoices Mix)
  17. Interesting video I stumbled upon on YouTube tonight. While not abusive in the slightest, I could definitley be better at looking after my collection. Mainly aimed at vinyl collectors rather than DJs but some useful information none the less.
  18. I watched this last night. Quite an interesting historical piece. His thoughts on tonearm weight are a bit extreme though; even when playing out I would make sure the weight on the platter was as low as I could get away with. Interesting technique with the crossfader/fader combo too, I might try that tonight. My first turntables were the Omnitronic belt drives which came with a Numark Bluedog Mixer in, I think 1998. I sold them to a couple when I got my Technics and despite them being poor quality, I felt quite sad letting them go. Drtim, you are right it was a massive buzz when you nailed a mix on poor equipment.
  19. Those vinyl pressings of the GC compilations go for some money now.
  20. The collective knowledge on this board is superb. Keep the faith guys...
  21. I noticed there wasn't a thread for this set, in fact I could only find one mention on the board (here). 01. Starparty - I'm In Love (Ferry Corsten & Robert Smit Remix) 02. Lost Witness - Happiness Happening (Lange Remix) 03. Above & Beyond - Alone Tonight (Above & Beyond's Club Mix) 04. Kristine Blond - Love Shy (Electrique Boutique Remix) 05. Fridge - Angel (Club Mix) 06. Umex - Gatex (Tiesto Remix) 07. Da Hool - Meet Her At The Love Parade (Nalin & Kane Remix) 08. Southside Spinners - Luvstruck 09. Marc Et Claude - I Need Your Lovin' (Like The Sunshine) (Dark Moon Complete Vocal Mix) 10. Ratty - Sunrise (Here I Am) (Club Mix) 11. Aurora - Hear You Calling (Dark Moon Remix) 12. Tillmann Uhrmacher - On The Run (Ocean To Shore Club Extended) 13. Art Of Trance - Madagascar (Richard Durand Remix) 14. Sander van Doorn - Riff 15. Matt Darey pres. Mash Up - Liberation (Temptation - Fly Like An Angel) (Ferry Corsten Remix) 16. Judge Jules - Verano Loco Edit: Couldn't get SoundCloud to embed so the link is here: Soundcloud.
  22. Cheers for sharing Jivemaster. Also looking forward to listening to Mr. Spring's efforts. Jules' original set was for me nothing special but always good to have a listen.
