Thankfully I also work for the government so my job is as safe as any really. Would hate to work in something like the construction or retail industry. I have a few dealings with plant contractors (diggers etc) that say times are very hard due to the lack of development and that numerous companies are going bust on a weekly/monthly basis .

Sorry to hear that. Can't begin to imagine what it'd be like seeing your child on a hospital bed like that . How old is the other child and did they ring the ambulance? What an angel if she/he did. My mate once had a fit at college after spending too much tome at in front of computers trying to complete coursework. I wasn't there but was really shocked to find out. He was ok soon after but like you say, now more prone to having a fit.
