  1. Yeah, defo count me in . Dead close to me.
  2. How can that be comfortable? I wear really loose jeans.
  3. Is that the Bill Brewster one? I have that. Very good read. Oh, I've also just purchased the new updated version of 'Last Night a DJ Saved My Life' for my April travels.
  4. Yeah having to do do uni coursework sucked. We used to agree to do it at the same time so there were no distractions and then as soon as we'd finished we'd head straight for a beer! I don't ever remember doing it on a Saturday night though .
  5. No mate it definitely wouldn't swallow you! Firstly it would spook if you got that close and if it did actually grab you (which it wouldnt) it'd taste you and know you aren't food, thus rejecting you and letting you swim on your way. I'm an ichthyologist you know
  6. Couldn't agree more! I've seen Coxy a few times but probably the best was at Global 05. He played 'Roman Flugel - Gets Nocht' and the whole tent went absolutely nuts! He always shouts really cheesy random things over the mic too!
  7. I'm sure you do Simon! The guy at B&Q wasn't too impressed with my demands. I had a cue the length of Hadrian's Wall being me whilst he cut it all!!
  8. Bow your head in shame Sir Quadrant. That was awful  :boohoo:
  9. No need Sir Quadrant as whale sharks are omnivores that feed only on algae and zooplankton! They pose no threat to us Homo sapien creatures! It's mouth was easily wide enough to fit me in though!
  10. Jules is always going to be highly regarded by me because of his history. Back in 99-2002 he played some absolutely blinding sets and some of his Radio 1 stuff was top drawer. I would say that his personality made him stand out to me when I first saw him live. I remember him bobbing around the DJ box like a Weeble or something. He was interacting with the crowd unlike any DJ I'd ever seen as genuinely seemed to be having a good time. There's this thing that he always does where he sort of rocks back and then lunges forwards towards the crowd and pulls this face..... I have a video at Crank in Bournemouth that shows this down to a tee but I can't be bothered uploading it (sorry). Anybody that has ever seen him will know what I mean. I always used to watch him wondering what the hell he did between mixing as he never cued the record up but instead adjusted speeds accordingly when bringing the track in. In between mixing he spent time mostly bobbing around and drinking vodka! The tracks he played, as other people have noted, were also a key factor. It's those zany bouncy tracks that stood out i.e. Floorgasm - Have a Nice day, Chi Chi Hernandez - Who's That?, Uberdruck - Drugface, Joshua Ryan - Pistolwhip etc.... I could go on forever! I have been slightly let down during recent sets I've seen him play but everytime I see him walk into the DJ box at a club I still get a shiver down my spine as if your witnessing a master at work (although when he starts looping that thought soon fades ) Can't fault the guy for his past success though!
  11. I made it! Piece of cake really and it is sturdy as you like! Got the bloke at B&Q to cut them to size'ish and made some minor adjustments at home before fixing them together with screws. Job done. In reference to the KRK position; yeah they would ideally be at ear height but for a bedroom setup that height is fine. I really rate them as they are dead loud and crisp as a frosty December morning! I have the volume of the speaker turned right down and the master level on my DJM600 is only at half volume. Still pretty loud. Would be ideal for house partys volume wise if you required !
  12. I probably use lemons more often for cooking but I think limes taste nicer and in a way I feel sorry for them as they are smaller and inferior to their larger yellow cousins. Vote lime!!
  13. Correct! The other guys will know the up to date version of this but Patterson used to do this for him.
  14. I had to read that twice then but I got it eventually! Sharks outside a nightclub? Ahh, you mean shocking females....
  15. 2 x Pioneer CDJ 1000 MK3 2 x Technics 1210 MK3 (only one on that picture) 1 x Pioneer DJM 600 1 x Pioneer EFX 1000 2 x KRK Rokit RP6's 1 x Sennheiser HD25 SP That setup on the picture is in my old flat but I have since moved and have removed the 1210 so that the EFX 1000 sits on the workstation. My 1210's are back in their boxes in my bedroom. Need to convert vinyl to MP3's and sell the decks. One of the tasks I never seem to get round to.
  16. Yeah it's really strange that somebody would find blue eyes so amazing. They were all dark haired and brown eyed so someone like myself with fair brown hair, white skin and blue eyes must have been fascinating. By the way, that picture isn't me! I just nicked one off t'interweb as we didn't dare take our waterproof camera in with us in case we dropped it to the bottom of the sea! I just used it for you folk that aren't aware how big a whale shark actually is.

    My Holiday!

Hey guys and gals. Not been on here for a couple of weeks as I've been on holiday . I cannot even begin to find time to trawl through all the dozens and dozens of posts created since I was last on! Holiday was totally amazing. I went to the Philippines for two weeks and stayed at CWC (Camsur Watersports Complex), which is basically the best wakeboarding facility in the world. We'd been talking about going for a while and so decided to throw caution to the wind and book it. The cable is situated in the provence of Camarines Sur, which isn't really an area of great tourism interest but has some beautiful volcanic landscapes. It was awesome to leave this country when there was muchos snow on the ground to travel to a country where the daytime air temperature was a guaranteed 32 degrees plus and only dropped to 24 degrees at night! The body took a bit of time to adjust to the time difference as they're 9hrs ahead and the temperature was a huge change. Got a little bit nuked by the sun on the first day but was very sensible after that with the lotion and now have a ace tan. We went over there primarily to wakeboard but spent a good few days doing other bits and bobs such as looking at local towns, visiting landmarks etc. We saw the Mayon Volcano, which is regarded as the worlds most perfectly formed volcano! Felt really lucky to see that and it had smoke chugging out for extra effect! We said to each other that if you were going to sit down and draw a volcano that it would look EXACTLY like that! Erupts every ten years and only dribbles a bit of lava onto a few fields so not very dangerous! Looked absolutely amazing. We were also lucky enough to swim with whale sharks! I've attached a picture below to give you an idea of how big one is! I work with fish for a career so to do this was a dream come true. We had a couple of encounters that were a bit crap because there were loads of people in the water at once but the final encounter was mind blowing as it was me and four of my mates in the water snorkeling with a 30ft whale shark (the biggest fish in the world!). Wow  ! Was quite refreshing to visit the country as the area we went to isn't very wealthy and everytime we went into Naga the whole town would stop and stare at the white people walking through the town :whistling: ! Amazing to see the carnival but as soon as we walked past everybody ignored the parade and looked at us! That was intimidating but really cool. One guy on a stall was amazed to see my blue eyes. Crazy to think he may never have seen blue eyes before! I've got loads of photo's but I haven't the time to add them to Photobucket and then link to here so those who are on my Facebook can take a look if you like.
  18. Sennheiser HD 25's all the way!
  19. I'm contemplating this. Will have serious jet lag but the line up is tops. Never seen Durand DJ so would be cool. Anyone else going?
  20. Will Atkinson too! They boy can do no wrong. If I don't love the original of one of his tracks, you can guarantee I love the remix .

    Jade Goody

I think I was more upset finding my mum was terminally ill rather than hearing she'd actually died. Literally feels like someone has ripped your insides out. I didn't sleep for months .
  22. Tops. Defo up for this then as long as it's a decent line up. Is Jules actually playing? I'm not that fussed about seeing him anymore. Gets worse everytime I see him. .
  23. I really object to these types of dogs being available for sale in this country. They've been bred they way they are for one reason and that is to fight/protect. I cannot even begin to imagine how terrible it would be to see your child having been attacked by a dog. Makes me feel sick. I see these types of dogs in the park at the end of my road and cringe at what would happen if one lost the plot and went running after kids. They're pure evil.
