  1. Very Jules this. Reminds me of all the French filtered House he would seek out at this time. Brilliant bootleg anyway, would love to know what this is. Great work with naming the samples Burien btw
  2. Lyndon see your PMs, the upload facility should be working now
  3. Hi Lyndon, that shouldn't happen with uploading any files. I will look into this today for you as our PHP settings permit up to 128MB uploads (and admins can circumvent if file size is larger). I'll update you on here.
  4. Same here. With disk space not an issue these days I opt for WAVs but then convert them into FLACs so I can at least associate some ID3 tags / artwork to them.
  5. Just in case anybody was thinking of an mp3 purchase or two in the day or so. This offer does not apply to lossless purchases (i.e. WAV or AIFF) but still a good deal.
  6. A little message from our friends over at mp3 download store www.beatport.com Our Level Up Game is back to make your transition into spring a lot more melodic! Enter the first level to access the second, then use the second code to qualify for the third and final discount. The rules are the same, only this time around, we’re kicking things off with a 15% off code, valid until end of February*! So, be quick and get 15% off or take your time and get only 10% off and get only 10% off.
  7. Burien & Louk, thanks for some fantastic IDs there. Don't know how you do them after so long, much respect! Tracklisting updated. Louk, can you ID the exact remix on the release?
  8. I love reading comments like this - welcome to the board Big_Bad_Bob!
  9. I'm catching up with a few people on here later in the year and we'll do an audit of the files to check what's lying around on our hard drives and not yet uploaded. There are definitely a few Saturday shows to upload (mostly post-2003) from own own collections, and Simcut might have some more tapes (I will find out!), otherwise, this is pretty much all the audio we have on the Archives. I have recently found one half of the "end of year" show in 2000 (tracklisting here) and definitely have the other half somewhere on MiniDisc, so when I find it, I'll be uploading that this year. The BBC have a radio archive which will definitely contain a lot of Jules' shows but it's difficult to obtain permission to access this without good reason, and I'm unsure where or how it is stored. I can't really ask them for a trove of shows just so we can reupload them here as they will refuse it. It might be a case of going through the Radio Times Archive and picking a handful of must-have specific (and missing) shows and asking if they are available from the BBC Sound Archive?
  10. There were a good handful but they missed our radar. Jules even subbed in for Dave Pearce on Dance Anthems once on Sunday night - something you'd think he'd do more often but it was incredibly rare. Again, we don't have the date or tracklistings for it, although I remember it happening. Can anyone remember if Jules would follow this Essential Selection with his Friday 9-11pm slot? If so, that would be 5 hours of tunes from 1 DJ.... unthinkable on R1 today!
  11. Incredible work, getting this ID Jason, thank you for all your sterling efforts! What a great remix.
  12. Just dusted off my vinyl of Angel - Goldrush, one of the producers Rob Jay was kind enough to sign my copy and throw in some Glow Recordings merchandise! The vocals are taken from an old Neil Young record, "After the Goldrush". Interestingly I'm reading on the feedback sheet in the sleeve, for some reason everyone is really raving about the Freefall remixes on the second vinyl. Don't get me wrong, Freefall - "Skydive" is an amazing track but both their remixes on this are really boring! Jules plays the best version here, which is the original Vocal Mix, much more drive to it. Unique
  13. Yeah I know it's a stupidly short clip, sorry about that. I'll try and find the rest of it and upload the whole track
  14. Welcome to the Archives and glad we have been a goldmine for you for reminiscing I was having a look for this and could only find the Comic Relief battle from 2001, which Jules lost to Norman Cook from memory... (Didn't Fergie win it in the end!?) Can you let us know where you found any recordings so we can add them to the archives?
  15. Who are the two members? I couldn't find anything at all under that name?
  16. Played by Jules sometime in Feb 2000 Originally ID'd by both Sand Leaper & WAP
  17. This is the most exciting development in years for this ID - it's actually up there with my most wanted of all time. The vocals are definitely lifted from that chorus - my only fear is it's therefore a bootleg that couldn't be released for that reason. Do let us know as soon as the CD arrives!
  18. Clip from 1997 when Jules would whip out some Drum & Bass during his Radio 1 shows (yes really) He called this one "Sabre & Connected" but we can't find anything at all on this track. Any IDs or more info greatly appreciated!
