bearing in mind the excellent specs of my Computer, it really struggled to run a few games on the PC! It takes forever to boot up etc.... not good.

Hi guys, I've just got XP up and running again now, I made the fatal mistake of installing Vista and giving it a whirl. I have to say it does look very flash but my god, the Menus etc are shocking! the menu system is just ridiculous, its so difficult to get around Windows Explorer in Vista. I love the little 3d animation of when you flick through the open windows, very flash. Despite all the sexyness looks wise of it, its absolutely w*** (technical term!!). I play Counter-Strike Source and the performance is pretty f***ing shoddy to be honest. I'm not going back to Vista until at least SP1 comes out. Take my advice and avoid it for now!! Simon

Apparently there is an issue with networking between Vista and XP. There is a program available that Microsoft released which allows people to network between different OS's. I'll do a google search and let you know what it is, I noticed the info on my travels yesterday.
