Agreed, I'd buy it. I have only followed him from his late Kiss FM days and then R1. Would love to hear stories about what he was doing in the 80s and early 90s.... probably just "graft" and a great deal of fun along the way, as they say
2. There was a track in 2000 he played which sounded a bit like that... Reysan Khan - She-do 2000 I think it was the Mark Shimmon remix

Hi

Welcome sire! :pirate:

Good point with the longer buildups and breakdowns in the older dance music = actual longer mixes. The attention span of a clubber has diminished I think - it's all about the 5-minute edited peak, trough, and peak, whereas the older style tracks were longer and had very DJ-friendly intros and outtros, not to mention a middle portion of simpleness which also permitted an earlier window to mix out of. You only have to look at Mr Armin van Buuren's early stuff, some of them are 12-minute wonders! You'd never see that today.
5. Totally agree with Marco V - Red, Blue, Purple. Terrible!! My one is this: Mauro Picotto - Lizard aka. "It's comin to GET YA!!!!!!!" -----> (no it isn't! F*** off!!) Reminds me of chavs in liverpool going mental thinking this is the best thing since sliced bread.
6. Really really great mix this and in fantastic quality, thank you sir. Sunrise At Palamos there just how it's meant to sound - still one of my favourite ever tracks of all time!!
7. Just stumbled on this, I remember Jules mentioning the guest mix during one of his Uni sets so shame we don't have the complete show. Also - that Science of Rhythm - 'Work'.... didn't they steal the sample from the Guinness advert back then? Or vice versa??
8. Very nice Majefa. Shame I don't live in Manchester. Are you female? Perhaps we can hook up, have some drinks together or something? I can also cook some really rather good cakes - other members on here can back me up on my cake-making skills.
9. I remember Sara Cox did the breakfast show, I think it was Moyles who took over from her. She sounded a bit of a ladette. Basically it seems BBC R1 are having a clear-out of the old guard - Jules, Grooverider, Moyles all joined in the 1990s and probably costed them a bomb every year to keep
10. Noff, very nice remix sir! You should do more producing as you have talent. Please finish it!
11. Any news on the rest of this show, sir lyndon?

Just dug out a tape and heard another one. "Radio 1 and it's going off like last week's milk" He interrupted a remix of BT's Flaming June just to say that, lol
13. Welcome sir! Your caps lock got stuck Sometimes you get lucky with the buying the promos before it was actually released, but it's a bit of a lottery. For example, the CD promo here could have it: http://www.discogs.com/Nimrod-My-Life/master/260464
14. I love hearing this. I always wonder what the people who were clubbing then are doing now. If you can hear the atmosphere on the radio recording even now, then just imagine insde the club.
15. Lol, as I said in the other thread, Tiesto - height of cockness in this, just so arrogant in his soundbite to Jules
16. Aha, we've all done that. Stop/start/stop with the tape recorders!
17. Sorry to interrupt your discussion sirs but WHAT a match Spain produced yesterday. Wonderful display
18. Hello sir. Welcome to the site! There were two broadcasts of Jules I found: http://www.judgejulesarchive.co.uk/archives/board/index.php?showtopic=6219 and the other here: http://www.judgejulesarchive.co.uk/archives/board/index.php?showtopic=3977 Hope this helps
19. In my lowest moments, music has always kept me going. I would ever go as far as to say that it has helped me though every single bad moment in my life! One of things that fascinates me is how a specific track will trigger a memory. I once won on the horses and came back and fell asleep to Revelation - King of Clubs in my headphones. Now, years later, whenever I hear that track, it take me straight back to that time of that horse win, and I love that. Music is so powerful. Let it help you - for it is the medicine of the mind.
20. Om my, he does as well. How can you do that on live radio! Easily done I guess, forget which deck is playing... The two Moogwai remixes in this download are superb, love them.
21. Maybe I got it wrong with Dj Dero. Need to check this but it's definitely another bootie sir. Nice remix of North Pole as Neuro mentioned - nice to hear as the original mix was smashed by everyone else.

23. You need a dose of patriotism sir! God Save The Queen!
