Dave Pearce club diary http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=O6oSIrs3tp8...feature=related About minute 3 onwards is the track I made with Noff that Dave featured on his bedroom producers segment... http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=gzhMRFEdezg ....and here someone has randomly posted up Be The Bass! nice of them, haha!
  9. Just checking guys, are we looking to do this in July so need to reserve some time...?
  10. I know I know, this has taken ages to reply to, but I've been in Budapest this weekend (Sensation White is there in 2 weeks - I plan to go next year!! ) Anyway, quick report and some pics of The Gallery's 14th Birthday the other week... There was an initial set back when one of my friends became ill and so wasn't up for coming - we had been due to have a pre gathering at hers and get ready etc, so we had to alter our plans a little bit. Instead of staying in London, I went back home to change, have a bit of food and a couple of drinks with Chrissie before heading out in order to save ourselves a bit of money! It was a bit disappointed as I'd made a CD especially for the occasion as a warm up (the mix is in the Members Audio section!). Anyhow, Tim was keeping Jonathan entertained in London, and Chrissie and I finally made it into town about half 10 to meet them at a bar in Embankment. We had a couple of drinks there to chat, as well as a Jaeger-bomb just to get the party started (!), but then headed to Ministry for around half 12. We were due to meet Simcut inside but we had yet another slight set-back - we were no longer on the guestlist, and had to pay full whack to get in! However, as the queue was around the block and the bouncer seemed to believe we weren't bullsh**ting him, we skipped the massive line of people and headed straight in to the tune of £22 each... I've been really pleasantly surprised by Ministry, expecting it to be a bit more commerical than it actually is. The sound system is nice and throbbing, so you get very in touch with the music. We stayed in the Box to start off with, a female DJ was playing some very nice progressive and electro (or rather tame trance). We then split off for a little while and had an explore I think? I remember looking around for a short while to find everyone again, but we all met up to make it into the Main room just before Jules was due on. Menno de Jong was just finishing a set - caught then end of Push - The Legacy and a very emotional trancer that I didn't recognise, but hope to hear again. Think we all had a massive smile on our faces when the breakdown came! Then, on came Jules with the set that's posted in the audio section - not too bad, perhaps even a bit too banging at times. Standout for me was Breakfast - Remember, very good tune, and I did enjoy Tristan D's Chakalaka, something about the low freq bassline that I like. Had a little wander mid set for some water as it was really starting to get rammed and very hot, but made it back for the last 20 mins and then beginning of Armins set at 3. Cannot overestimate how packed it was by that point - never been so squashed in a crowd. Then, off went some bizarre pyrotecnics! It wasn't the ice machine making smoke...! have to admit though was quite tired by that point and the crowd wasn't giving me energy, so Chrissie and I went off to the Baby Box for some jackin' electro. Literally about 5 people in the room, some would prob say it was a bit of a waste given that I'd paid over 20 quid for the night, but I like having a bit of variety anyway and sometimes I can't enjoy the music as much if there's too close a crowd that you can hardly get your arm up! We found Simon, Tim and Jonathan just outside the main room about 25-30 mins later, you guys looked so hot as though you'd been in a sauna! It was about 4 ish when we called it a night, Chrissie and I caught the night bus back to Liverpool St for a dirty Maccie D's and the first Stansted Express home. All in all, a great night and fantastic to see Tim again and meet Fuzzy and Simcut. Here are a couple of pictures from the night: Tim, Fuzzy and Chrissie Tim and I The smoky crowd In the mix! Hmm, a bit worse for wear at this point
  11. I too would like to gain some gigs, no matter how small - all experience is a good one. Any tips guys?
  12. I have to admit, the tunes weren't as good as when I went in January, but I did enjoy it all the same. I didn't recognise a majority of the tracks though, but there's a few I'd like to purchase all the same. The best bit about walking into the main room was Menno's last two tracks - Push - The Legacy and an unknown really emotional trancer that had us all beaming ear to ear! We are alive and didn't disappear into the huge Armin crowd, never to be dfound again. I've got pictures, will post once sought permission from everyone in them to do so! And as for a report, promise I will do one later, *insert generic response for being busy*
  13. Go to my Myspace, i've put a clip up there and if you like I'll send the whole thing!!
  14. This is the second "Something Different" Mix I wanted to post up here. I did one in 2007, and was fairly sure I posted it, but I can find the thread after searching the archive. Nevermind! Anyway, but for some complications with Friday night's pre-club shenanigans, this is the CD that I'd made as a warm-up to play as we were getting ready to go out. It's a change to what I normally play but represents an area of dance in which I have a growing interest - it touches on prog, minimal, electro and the downright mental. As Pete Tong would say... "lights down, shirts off", let's go... 1) Lifelike - 'Sequencer' (Original Mix) 2) Santiago & Bushido - 'Can't Be Wrong' 3) Tony Lionni - 'This Feeling' (Original Mix) 4) System 7 - '7:7 Expansion' 5) Olivier Giacomotto & Dj Tonio - 'Unleash The Dog' (Original Mix) 6) Mini Mode - 'Ombra' 7) Wolfgang Gartner - 'Yin' 8) Radioslave - 'Koma Koma' 9) Moguai - 'Beatbox' (Inpetto Remix) 10) Tiga - 'Washing Up' 11) Egos - 'Drill Rocker' 12) Chemical Brothers - 'Electronic Battleweapon 6' 13) MGMT - 'Kids' (Soulwax Remix) Link: http://www.megaupload.com/?d=B55HCLVF
  15. Excellent bit of digging around! So reqarding when you find that piece of info you needed for so long, like identifying an unknown tune.
  16. Jonathan, if you are around Regent's Park (easy to get to on the Circle Line) then let me know (will message you my english phone number), as my office is next door to it! If not, will see you in the evening anyway.
  17. I'm an avid Life on Mars and Ashes watcher (Keeley Hawes in skintight 80s wear, you get the picture) and I'm so glad it's back! There's some really good sci fi elements in it I've noticed this series so far. The best line was "Fire up the photocopier", haha.
  18. Tiesto's productions peaked in 2003. Anything beyond "In My Memory" in my opinion was too overblown and pretentious.
  19. Hi all, whilst I've got a bit of internet luxury thought would say hi from New York! Just in the Public library. Have done all the usual stuff, also had a browse around some old skool record stores...mmmm, vinyl! Nothing trance related though! Anyway back later this week! Looking forward to the 24th at MOS....
  20. The first series was brilliant, so I think that the second has a lot to liveup to. Have enjoyed what I've seen so far though.
  21. Thanks! I currently use Fruityloops 7 with a variety of plugins, but I'm awaiting Cubase lessons from a friend so i'm hoping to make the move over to that later this year!
  22. Sent to Briggsy yesterday - really didn't know what to include so had a rifle through the wallets and Cd singles and came across these 3 rarely heard tracks for a while: 1) Condor II - 'You Can Kiss My...' (Light of Day Mix) 2) Corderoy - 'Drifting' (one of the best trance tracks of the millenium years imo!) 3) Octagen & DJ Dazzle - 'Continuous'
  23. Hi everyone, thanks for all the feedback - very encouraging if there's no improvements! You are of course my fave people to test it on, so thanks for taking the time. If you need a 320 version let me know - to the remix requests, I'll see what I can package up - promise! Bit limited in time over next few days as home for a long weekend, then off to new York next week, but will do my best
