  1. I absolutely loathe updating my CV, it's one of those things that is a bit time consuming and frustrating, but when you get a template sorted that you like, it's easy to amend. I definately need to cut mine down - Uber is right that it should really only be one or two sides! But I divide it like this: A tip I received is to put all of your skills/work experience first (after your name on top). I then detail my valid work experience (in the past 3-5 years) and give an overview of duties/experience Then i've split out my soft skills into 3 diff categories: - Communication Skills - Time mangement - Teamwork I then put my main contact details after this: Home address Telephone nos Date & Place of Birth Nationality EDUCATION - You can leave off GCSE details - leave on your most recent/relevant quals for the job. I think if you just search for "CV Templates" on the web, you'll find a few - The Times does a good one for graduates that you can adapt I think?
  2. This is my favourite thread of the year so far Me gusta...
  3. Aza, i'll also be checking this out later...not had an Aza-mix in ages, whoop!
  4. No. 2, I need this in my life, where can I get a Gene Hunt ring tone?! Please say you are also super excited about the anticipated return of Ashes to Ashes soon! of course, my enjoyment is enhanced by Keely Hawes. I'd marry her. Now. Xmas seems so far away now, but I too got socks, some books, one of the new Futurama Dvds, The IT Crowd boxset, usual chocolates and toiletries, Armin ASOT Year Mix 2008 (bloody brilliant btw, my first one and I love it), clothes, including a very Steve Jones esque checked shirt and Family Season 7. And my present to myself is Reno 911 season 3!
  5. Craig - that's great feeback on the Coldplay track - after all this talkof bootlegs recently, I don't like to inundate, but glad that it is getting a good reaction! And gave you a top night too Thanks Hardaway too - glad you liked - need to hook you up with some tracks too I believe.. And Chrissie, i've edited my tracklist above. The track you are looking for is Jason Vinterra - 'Select' (Vintage Source Cut) [Toxical] - I too first heard it on the OBW show, when Jules also played 2 x W-Units. It's a simple track, but really effective.
  6. The guy is on Monster records, though not sure when 'Healthy' will be coming out though. May Myspace to ask him. Hope you've had a good festive period too Craig!
  7. Since I missed out on all the Secret Santa-ing this year, here is my December "Mix of the year" for you all instead. HAPPY NEW YEAR! - News Years Resolution No. 1 - post on here more often again!!
  8. I've liked much of what W&W have put out this year - I wonder who they are though, as they sound very Leon Bolier-ish...
  9. The full title I actually supplied to Jules was: Alex Morph vs Coldplay - Walk La Vida (Christian's Mix) ...in a bid to get my name up there!
  10. it was entitled W-Unit - 'Always Brazil' - and was played on 10th June ish? Def early June.
  11. Well it's only me that's done the dirty with "They Always..." this year (with that Zoo Brazil mash), but who knows if Jules'll do the same!
  12. TUne for me was Hydro Aquatic - 'Healthy' - awesome chord changes!
  13. Stylish girl looks like she'd be right filthy!
  14. I love this show too - Kevin Bishop is a genius. My favourites so far are either Britney Spears with K-Fed as a Southern hick or the Jennifer Anniston one. I think heather Mills will be extremely funny too, i'm sure they are going to absolutely rip it out of her and Mcartney. John Simm in your Avatar i've just noticed No2F, you are Life On Mars fan, or Human traffic!?
  15. I've had a number of shop jobs over the years when I was a student, but WH Smith was my favourite - met somoe great friends there. And the pressure is lower than in an office job, but I like variety and a bit of stress. Makes the day go quicker! I'm lucky to be on a grad scheme with Which? that means I move around the organisation every 6 months. I'm now on my 3rd placement and currently working in New Product Development, which is really cool. I keep joking I can be "bought" for a salary much higher than what I am on now so I don't have to do placements anymore! That Office quote from is very true, you are kind of thrown together... and nothing makes this more apparent than what people get up to at Christmas parties! We had ours on Friday night and people were wrecked - mostly all getting on with each other, but then the tensions (sexual and otherwise) start creeping through, it's brilliant to watch!
  16. That'll teach me for being too busy to check the forums in November! Gutted i've missed out on the Secret Santa-age this year guys...
  17. W-Unit also sneaking in there with Alex Morph vs Coldplay... though decided not to label it as such Nice one on the play too, Mike.
