  2. That's awesome mate, I will check it out. Always regretted taping over this one.
  3. Awesome set this, definately sure number 11 is Hi-Gate 'Hurricane'
  4. I will be trying to get the Mrs there, that looks awesome.

'Getting fried like an onion' - Random friday night show 'Covering more fields than a tractor' - Mardi Gras 2002
  8. I was 18 in 1999 so timed it perfect. I remember working every night after college (a levels) for 4 hours to save up for tunes and lost weekends. I used to get paid weekly aswell so it never lasted long. I used to get £120.00 a week, more than nearly all my mates! I used to spend about £30 a week on vinyl, about £20 train tickets to get to sheffield and about £40-50 on going out. Cos i worked on saturdays i used to have to finish work at 1800hrs, grab clothes, get my mates rounded up and we'd get the earliest train we could. Of course, we always had Jules saturday show on the walkman whilst heading up to Sheffield, Media or to Cream. I have fond memories of literally being a vegetable on the way home though and seeing the other people that had been out clubbing with disco dirted up "wookies" (remember them?) and what not, they were some tired moments, but god they were special times, i sorely miss them. That was pretty much my weekends too!
  9. Agree with all of this. For me I would always go to see Jules because back in the day he always played the bouncy banging tracks and I knew he would always rock it the most (with the odd clanger thrown in) This probably hasnt been the case the last few times I have seen him.
  10. Not been on here for a while so this has come as a bit of a shock - but i guess it says everything that I havent heard Jules' radio show for a very long time. It wasnt really the same when they took away Friday night shows and especially the live sets. I think its always sad when something that has been in your life for such a long time ends but think everyone on here will look back with great memories (especially 1998-2002 for me)
  11. I am still hoping for the Friday night mix live from Sugarshack at Tall Trees from around about March/April 2000 to turn up on here - it was immense, unfotunately I lost the tape many moons ago. Anyone remember it??
  12. Yeah Fuzzy that tape was from me, glad to be of assistance! (two years later!)
  13. Every track was just about perfect at the time although the element four was pushing it (maybe I just hated Big Brother)!
  14. Anyone got Jules' set from Cafe del Mar the same year? I remember he did one hour and Seb Fontaine did the other hour
  15. I have the rest of this, im sure I got it from this site though. Shall I upload it as a seperate mix and then someone can merge it
  16. Fantastic set, been searching for this for ages after having it on tape. Thanks!
  17. Cheers mate thats brilliant! I downloaded all of the essential mix from the same night 4.5 hours = 385mb!! Im not sure if there is a limit on here but you could just split it in two, if not i'll just register at that site just to get it
  18. Definately gonna try and make this, not been passion for nearly a year - last time Jules was there in fact.
  19. What a hard question, a couple of my personal favorites are the millenium and Coventry Uni set in '99. Also like set at Kerranga in 2000 which I found through this site. I could go on and on!....
  20. Anyone out there have this? I did a few years ago but it was badly distorted and is sadly no more. I remember Starfighter 'Apache' as the tried and tested and also 'its a trumpet thing' among others. Would be a great addition to the archives.
  21. And one month later the placed was closed, they never had music there again!
