  1. The majority of people I know have an equally bad knowledge of dance music. One work colleague actually dragged me to her car one lunchtime to listen to some of this 'awesome' dance cd she had just bought. I was expecting something great but sadly (you guessed it) it turned out to be filled with Cascada, Ultrabeat, & more Clubland style trash. She then asked me if this was my sort of music, to which I replied, "Er, not quite!" All of my local meat markets are filled with this audio torture & each one seems to have the same 10 tunes in the same order on a continuous loop throughout the night! :wall: Needless to say, I have to venture further afield for my fix of decent music on a night out!
  2. One more rant when driving, it's so annoying when someone pulls out of a junction right in front of you & then you have to brake while they gather enough speed to progress. All this because they can't be bothered to wait that extra 2 or 3 seconds for you to go past, after which they would have all the time in the world to pull out onto the main road!
  3. The problem with teams like Newcastle is that as soon as they get a new manager, they want instant success & it doesn't work that way. (Ok it worked for Chelsea in Mourinho's first season but I guess it helps when a club gets taken over by a billionnaire & has the money to buy some of the world's best players) It took Fergie 3-4 years before he won his first trophy with Man Utd, now look how successful he is. It seems now that managers don't get a fair shot these days because as soon as their club has a bad run of results, they get fired. However the players don't get punished for under-performing. Win lose or draw, they still go home with their thousands every week while the poor manager is the one who the fans & media berate. PS Being a Man Utd fan I can't post on this thread without mentioning 6-0!!! Sorry!
  4. I agree, it's so annoying when people do that, they have a lot to say but instead of using small sentences, they use loads of commas, forget about full stops, then cram it all into one big sentence!
  5. I always thought lorries & other big vehicles over a certain weight weren't allowed in the overtaking lanes? Mind you, I see them do it all the time so I guess I'll have to read over my Highway Code! I definately reckon slow drivers are just as much of a hazard as ones who speed.
  6. I agree with about 99.9% of the things mentioned on this thread, especially all the stuff about awful drivers. It's not always the speed merchants who annoy me though. On the other end of the scale, it's annoying when you are driving on a 2 lane, max speed limit road & I always seem to get caught behind some slowpoke/tractor/lorry, etc! Don't get me wrong, I like to think I'm a careful driver who sticks to the limits & so on, but for example, when the max speed limit's 60 mph & the car in front's doin 30 mph, it does cheese me off a little. Especially when the opposite lane's too busy to overtake!
  7. I'll second that! I also heard that apparantly just before Xmas he scaled the scaffolding on the police headquarters in the middle of the night & broke in through his own office window so he could test out his own security/alarm system, etc! Just one of his many brainwaves!
  8. I thought the first hour or so was ok but then he seemed to go bit overboard with the loop cutter/adjust feature on the CDJ. I've seen Jules a few times in 2007 & he does get carried away with it on occasions!
  9. That's ok pal, no offence taken! Brunstrom's always sayin or doin daft things & it comes as no surprise to me that he's finally made national news. Having a guy like him representing your area doesn't really fill you with confidence though to say the least!
  10. I live in North Wales & he's always saying or doing crazy stuff! His antics/quotes seem to be in the local papers on a weekly basis, some real gems at times!
  11. They have done some crackin tunes in their time. I really liked 'What's In Your Head' they did with Jules bout 2005
