This is my 1998-2012 Mix where I have taken 3 of my favourite tracks from each year between 1998 to 2012 & mixed them all back to back into one long, epic set. I first started DJing & collecting music back in 1998 & have continued to do so until the present day so you could even call this a career mix if you like! This is an absolutely terrible track & not just because it features Bieber, but because it's also yet another attempt to cash in on the big SHM style sound which has blown up commercially (or 'progressive house' as Beatport calls it!). I think it's also fair to say that Ferry earns more than enough to get by from day to day so it's not as if he needs the money off the back of this remix? In a nutshell, give me his remixes from the 1999 era or his Right Of Way album any day of the week...

Just thought of another one that bugs me which is John O'Callaghan - Big Sky... It was a tune that was way overplayed at the time & it was probably played by every DJ at every trance night I went to at the time! It's got to the point now where I can't bear to listen to that vocal anymore.. :wall:

Kernkraft 400 - Zombie Nation (or whatever it was called!) was one that I couldn't stand at the time & still can't bring myself to listen to now. What made it worse was that everyone in school at the time was raving about it like it was the best song ever! I remember saying to a few that there was so much better music out there... I was a bit of a musical snob even back then!

Cheers Chrissie... Power Your Mind is a great tune from Jules. Reminds me a lot of Stoneface & Terminal - Leaving Earth which was one of my faves from last year. I think he may have been inspired by that one...

Loads of great Jules sets over the years but if I had to pick one, it would probably be his Homelands 2003 set on R1. Headed out to Ibiza for the first time a few days after this was broadcast & it holds loads of brilliant memories from that holiday & that particular summer season in general

I think that's probably because every single dance music label around seems to be under the Armada umbrella at the moment... Armin Van Buuren must be the Simon Cowell of dance music as it seems like he has his fingers in so many musical pies right now.

Discovered it by accident actually! I noticed Jamesie had mentioned on Facebook that Ayahuasca had been supported by Jules in his Hull Essential Mix & thought it might be one of the missing IDs... Listened to a clip of it & indeed it was!
