  1. Haha, I dont remember it being that bad to be honest, lol! I'll make sure I do the typing into phone thing then, though you'll prob hear my girlfriend OK, she's got quite a loud voice Glad you're coming along though, we'll make it a good send-off!!! When is your birthday then??
  2. Hey Lynn, Sorry I haven't got round to checking for that tune for you but looks like you've got it already lol! I haven't got Absolom though deffo.......take it easy!
  3. Hey lynn, I think I still have that at home somewhere on Good:as vinyl I believe? I'm prob due a clear out soon as looking to car boot a whole bunch of vinyl as I've tried selling on ebay and via here previously but I have the same tunes as most people that got into mixing / Jules around 98-99 have so not really much cash to be made but I'm sure if I do still have this one you could have it for a reasonable price. I'll let you know if I find it, lol!
  4. hahahaha - rofl, I only just saw this thread, genius! Hmmmm....quite like that tache, might have to grow one! And oi, I dont look that old before anyone decides to comment
  5. Aah that NEC night was awesome, had a good line-up in the Frantic room too with Eddie playing an early set with Rob Tissera I think BOSH!!! Jules playing Lost Witness was brilliant, I remember I was on the seats at the back having an arm-rave to Ferry to recharge the batteries and then went and danced for Jules! All the DJs were just savage that night, I think that may have been one of the best PvD sets I've seen for years, though the downside was the 3 hour wait for the first train to Southampton which actually was a replacement bus to Reading and then the train, I think I got in about 2pm on the sunday and then went for pizza and a few beers and promptly into bed until about 8am the next day, aah those were the days!! Shame they dont do the big arena events anymore, they would evidently still sell out.......
  6. Hehe, good thread this one! Well for me it was Slinky in Bournemouth back in 1998 and the headliner was Pete Tong, back when he almost always played good bouncey house or trance really....I was at uni in Southampton and they used to run coaches down every week so I think it was a few weeks after I started my course my best mate from home (Brighton) came down and we went for it. The first thing that hit me was how beautiful the club (Opera House) was, and it so rammed but not in a pushy sardine kinda way, there was enough space for people to dance and everyone was very much on beans! I think we only managed to get halfway down the crowd, but the atmosphere was amazing. I even remember Pete played Good Life by Inner City as the first tune and that was it, bonkers central! Also remember Crazy by Lucid (whatever happened to them) and that DJ Sakin track, Protect Your Mind (I think!) - which was superb on a massive system..... So yeah, after that first night it was Slinky all the way and saw some amazing line-ups, one of which was Xmas 1999 and had Guy Ornadel, Tiesto & Jules, can you imagine a line-up like that these days, that was back in the day when Tiesto would walk though the club carrying his own record box! I also had a homemade sign with PITCHIN on one side & JULES RULES on the other, lol! The pitchin one was good, obv when he was playing that, made people go nuts! I'll have to see if I can scan some old pics in. I accosted Tiesto once and had a little chat in Dutch with him which was cool! Also seen Armin, Scott Bond, Lisa Lashes, Eddie, Oakie, Above & Beyond, Marco V, Ferry and loads loads more around 99-2003 down there, happy days!!!
  7. Pretty much in agreement with Fuzzy on this one, I saw the Dangerous tour at Wembley Stadium when I was 12 years old and it was just one of the most amazing moments of my life. While his musical output in the last 10 years or so wasnt the greatest his amazing back catalogue has given me so many memories, I was listening to HIStory on the way to work today and every song held some sort of meaning to me...I know it seems a bit daft but its truly the loss of one of the defining artists of our generation. RIP MJ - we'll never forget you!
  8. hmmm...does look a bit random so kinda glad I bailed when I did, tho the Honey Club set last weekend was brilliant! I got some cool pics and Jules signed by Bring The Noise cover and gave me a free Judgement Sundays mix CD which is rather good, has most of the above tunes on it actually! The pics are on my facebook, anyone interested in looking and not a friend feel free to add me (Attila Sumer) tho I will try and get a few posted up on here soon!!!
  9. haha! I like Marco V, tho I havent seen him for ages, his compilations always seem to tick my boxes....he's best on early tho I guess!! Yeah Marcel is awesome Will Donna be up for this? I should be able to convince my mrs to come too which'll be cool.....Hopefully will be able to spy the full line-up in a few days when the Ticketweb MoS listings for May go live ooh yeah, Richard Durrand, Micky Slim & Oliver Lang too...prob means a house set from Jules I hope in the bar room - that'll be quality! Nice, roll on the 22nd woot!
  10. Just thought i'd post this up with plenty of advance notice as I'm well up for this - doing some scouting online I've found that Marcel Woods & Marco V are playing alongside Jules at this one so 3 great DJs already, would be good if there's a strong board presence there.....It's in my diary already, be good to see some of you there!
  11. aah I saw this was posted on another forum and didn't get round to downloading as yet but it was very good being there, I left to check out another arena after about an hour but the atmosphere was boucning and Jules was very animated behind the decks. Someone was holding a sign up for 'Laid Bare' down the front so I think that's why that got played but overall it was a solid, flowing set. I will try and link my vids and pics to here sometime soon but if you want to check them out they are on facebook!
  12. Aah Briggsy you legend! Nice one! Was a quality night, I deffo have got to the stage where rather than dancing all night I enjoy chatting to like-minded peeps and enjoying the music so it was very nice to meet you and Donna as well! If only you liked Above & Beyond I might've caught up with you next friday at MoS again! haha! That's prob my last trip there for a while. Would be cool to meet up with more peeps, gutted I cant make MoS to see Mr Tom of the Bailey spinning but I hope it goes well mate, and to those of you going to see Jules this friday with Lynne, have a good one and post some pics up on facebook...btw I have loads of pics and vids of Jules at Trance Energy that are on my FB, havent got round to uploading them on here yet but if you want to add me as a friend to check them out please do so

    SNOW

yep, I posted these on facebook but I'll bung em on here too....its still snowing on and off so we've got a good 10cms or so... Hoping that work won't be an option tomorrow either; literally no trains running between London & Brighton which is my route to work and I dont have a car, not that I'd want to try and drive in this. One of poor friends was trying to come over to mine last night and ended up shunting into a car near my place, some of the hilly streets are just impassable...crazy how something like snow just brings our country to a stand-still!! Have most of you lot been off today?
  14. hehe - properly awful record that one, and you're complaining about The Enemy remix?! It doesnt sound too bad tbh that when it's played out......however, despite a lot of people on DSI not liking Jules there has been some good comments posted up about friday's sets at the Gallery, maybe the uplifting goodness is on the way back!
  15. and I got a shout too! Just before tried and tested - nothing huge just to attila from Brighton but that was pretty cool i thought! Good show last night, wished I couldve been at the Gallery after; bet it was a good set!
