    fuel prices

I don't think they would ever have reduced fuel tax as it's such a big earner for any government and money for doing nothing. It was also the Conservatives who introduced the current system of fuel taxation in 1993. Cameron talks a good populist game.

    fuel prices

I can't see the conservatives reducing the duty on fuel nor doing very much to help those on low to modest incomes.

  4. Number2fan has been known to dress in a police uniform

    Beckham injury

He could still cross a ball and hit a free kick but he was past his best a few seasons ago. His legs are gone. He was still competitive in the Italian league but football there is played at a slower pace and is less physical. He was also no better than average in any of the England matches I watched and when he did play it was against weaker teams.
  8. My problem with it all is that it is compulsory and how the BBC go about ensuring people pay the fee.
  9. I love when costs are broken down to a daily fee to make them appear more acceptable/amendable
  10. But we had so many good times listening to it. Remember the time Dave played our message: " WWWWOARRGH YEAH DAVE THIS IS NUMBER2FAN & KML CAN YOU PLAY CAFE DEL MAR YEAH WOOO I'M IN MY RENAULT 5 WITH THE POSSEE..!!! " Great!
  11. I was being sarcastic. I was surprised it lasted as long as it did on radio 1.
  12. Exactly. If i was a radio 1 DJ i wouldn't accept the same salary as a local radio station DJ. I am going to try and talk number2fan around to going door to door for signatures to get dance anthems back on radio 1.
  13. Then buy another tv :whistling:
  14. Then cancel your subscription
  15. Must have been in your salad days
  16. Sky offer an optional subscription. You won't get letters threatening legal action and taken to court if you don't have a licence.
  17. Most of these are 20 plus years old. Look at the rubbish it produces now. It tries to be all things to all people and it isn't. It has tried to run numerous different channels and radio stations appealing to every man and his dog and failed. It's an institution that needs radical reform.
  18. The license fee is a joke and it should go. The BBC should have to fund itself via advertising or subscription.
  19. Record a few shows as when it was on radio 1 it was the same tunes almost every week.
  20. I agree. I would not waste space storing it
  21. None of the BBC channels are free.
  22. BBC has far too many radio and tv channels. A lot more should be axed and maybe even the BBC as we know it.
