  1. ....am a fogey compared to you guys  but have to agree with the statements. Have danced through the decades to different genres but trance is best, and last, in my book; can't see anywhere for music to develop and have that same impact. As someone said earlier (in the thread) if you're 20 something what's around's relevant and the dogs

Chewbs.....l agree with you 100%

  2. Anybody got this show for download, features my sets education selection, cheers in advance.

Hi Paul, l think l have this one as mp3, will check it out and get back to you.

Yes Paul, l've found it. Unfortunately it is only in 192 bit rate quality. How can l send it to you? The size is 171MB

  3. F.A.O Neuro

As it was played on one of Jules's Sat shows then it should be listed on a Tracklisting in the Archives. I have tried searching for it in the Archives via the "search feature" on this site but unfortunately l don't think l am going about it in the right way so perhaps you could have a go. However l expect you have already done this

  4. I've got quite a few of his monthly mixes in MP3 format from around 2003 onwards.

If there are any you're missing, let me know... I got them all from 2002-2013 (missing august - december in 2013 though).

I have on purpose not uploaded them to the audio archive because they were available on JJ.net, but now it shouldn't be a problem :)

I've got the missing ones (Aug - Dec 2013)

  5. Thanks Chrissie....

If you could upload a few i know a lot of people will probably be very grateful!

    I'm after 2007-2009 ideally.

Its a shame i always thought they'd be up for grabs on his site.

I'll try to do this in the next few weeks, really busy atm, perhaps you could remind me in case l forget

  7. That Solar Factor tune I've got on 12" I used to play it constantly.

I went to Jules' launch party of this too I think.

    Top CD!

I love Solar Factor - "No Return", l've also got it on 12''. Ralphie B - "Massive" is another favourite of mine

    Unfortunately l don't have this CD, :(

  8. Funnily enough l have just bought "MOS" Trance Anthems, a 3 CD album, releasedi n 2013 which is very similar to Jules's 3 CD Album. I love Loveshy (Electrique Boutique Vocal Mix) which isn't on the MOS album so will probably buy Jules's album. It's cheap enough

  9. I'd LOVE to throw Vortex - Scarface in there from 2004. But I don't even think Jules has that about anymore. And there's no traceable copy as it was never released, even as a white label.

Did Jules ever play this tune on any of his R1 shows?

Yeah, towards the end of 2004. I have it on one or two of my recordings.

I found it in my tracklisting for 6.11.04 and also found it on youtube ....uploaded by your good self. Great tune, love it!

  10. Push - Strange World (2000 Remake)

    Hi-Gate - Saxuality

Those are some I'd really like to hear Jules play... 'Strange World' is hands down one of my most favorite trance anthems from back then and Saxuality is highly underrated in my humble opinion...

Couldn't agree more, love Saxuality and also Push - Strange World both were on my list. So many memorable tunes so l'm really glad you have chosen them

  11. I'd beg to differ, and do think he did.

There's elements from the track you can hear in his other productions; granted those were colabs with Masterson, but you could always tell, esp with Hi-Gate material what was Jules signatory and what was Masteron.

Edit: I've managed to find a rip (from this site originally) which has Jules saying on air the background of the track. Listen for yourselves, but he definitely says: "...when the film came out, via a connection at a record company, managed to get the original score to this, made my record with it, got Hans Zimmer's permission, played itto him and - saying this is what I've done, and he said no way are you putting that out. So I was never able to release the record despite getting a load of support from other DJs..."

I'd offer again to email Jules as I'd love to still know what the true answer to what we're discussing here is, but I'm guessing from no responses to my email, on this particular matter, I've probably miffed him - 'cos I did also ask if there would be change I could get a copy of the track to finish up my tribute mix to him, this site and his Radio 1 show's for getting me in to dance music :s

I left the mix unfinished hoping for a response, but unfortunately had to proceed and instead finished up with no doubt another one of his personal fave's, Brainbug. The mix is here is your interested :)

I agree Aza, I've also got this clip downloaded (somewhere) of Jules explaining why HIS version of Gladiator was rejected. I feel sure that the reason he hasn't responded to emails on this subject is not because you have miffed him, l just think he wants to draw a line under it and move on.
