  1. I'm pleased he is continuing to play an "old tune" each week too. However l think what most of us are annoyed about is having the 30 min mix shortened by 5 mins (at the end) just because the music doesn't "blend in" with Westwards Show. As it is Westward has two shows at the weekend.
  2. I agree. However he does ask for feedback regarding his R1 shows and gigs but l also realise that his hands are tied most of the time. As l said in my earlier post, we will just have to wait and see what happens this Sat.
  3. I guess we will have to wait and see what happens this Saturday and if it is as Tim says then we will all have to bombard Jules with loads of emails. I shouldn't think Jules is pleased with this new format.
  4. No doubt he does earn alot of money but he also has to pay Tax and NI plus travel expenses (driver, petrol etc.) and other overheads so his net income is somewhat reduced. Normally it's only when he goes abroad that he has his air fares and hotels paid for. If he takes someone with him he has to pay for them. He mentioned this in one of his diary reports.
  5. Couldn't agree more. I don't listen to Trevor Nelson or Westward as l'm not into their type of music.
  6. He should lengthen the mix not shorten it. As it is we have "the cut up mix" so that it "blends" in after Trevor Nelson's show and now Jules is expected to accommodate Westward's show as well. It's not on.
  7. Unfortunately l can't as l don't have the right set up to upload it. I usually send it to Tim on a cassette tape and he does the rest.
  8. Personally l prefer the "club mix" of this tune. However the "In Petto" is interesting but doesn't sound anything like the original tune.
  9. Who's a clever boy. I've just been on a musical journey and found the tape for 31/3/03(it's so easy now that the tapes are in trays under the settee) and l can confirm that parts of that tune are identical to Africa 2000.
  10. It wasn't Lucid that I remember actually.. though that's a f****** sterling suggestion! The stabs are very similar! I won't remember it now, it's gone.. never mind Likewise. :wall:
  11. Great stuff. I'm downloading it now and hopefully it will sound better than it does on R1 "listen again".
  12. It was also in "The Mail on Sunday."
  13. Must admit haven't heard it before, but what a tune........ Yes, it is something like "Lucid" but parts of the tune remind me of something newer.
  14. Quality pics. Looks as if everyone was enjoying your set, hands in the air and all that. Also thought you looked really confident in the video, you were well into it. Just a pity the sound wasn't too good (on the video). Was that the 10 Revolutions tune on the video. :?:
  15. Really hope one of you will record Jules's set as l won't beable stay up to listen to it as l've got to go to work early tomorrow.
  16. It sounds as if Quaddy is on heat.
  17. In a word, Yes.
  18. Don't mean to be a spoilsport but personally l don't think it is funny.
  19. IMO men shouldn't wax unless they have really hairy backs which isn't very nice but a man with a hairy chest is fine. We have this guy who attends our aerobics classes and he admits to having his back, chest, legs and arms waxed. He used to work for the Inland Revenue.
