I have just emailed him again. You never know, the 'Paris, Texas' song title along with the tracklisting that I attached may just trigger something in his head. i also asked him if he wouldnt mind popping onto the board to put his view forward. Hopefully he'll be as courteous as he has in the past. taking his time to reply.

Just popped over to see if there has been any posts on the infamous track and theres been a flurry of activity(ish) I'm not sure why, but I don't believe Jules. Did he play the Lush set b2b? If not, why would Col Hamilton have played the tune in Jules set? I just think he's said that because he has had so many requests for the title. I'm also not convinced that the track is a direct sample of Ry Cooder, although you can hear the similarities. The first couple of times I asked Jules, he never mentioned Ry Cooder and it wasn't until the third time that he stated that. It sounds to me, from that magazine scan, that Jules is familiar with Ry Cooder's music, and has just made the comparison when listening to the tune, rather than having anything to do with it. The plot thickens though!!! Good work people

yes the links are direct to this site. i think its more to do with the way myspace puts spaces into the addresses which means that they dont work. taking the spaces out works

Funnily enough i sent the clip to Svenson & Gielen about half an hour before your message. not had anything back yet i dont think. Im not sure whether the artists have actually been listening to the clips. i have had a couple say that the link is not working only for me to find that when i send it over myspace, spaces are automatically put between the full stops and words in the address. some will realise and take out the spaces, others may not EDIT...Just checked my myspace messages and Sven Maes of Svenson & Gielen has emailed to say its not theirs

i left ATB a comment as he currently is not accepting emails and im still waiting for his response. neuro, maybe you could release it and then hope that someone sues you for plagiarism, at least then we'll know the artist

^^^^^ From further up neuro. Ferry Corsten, Signum & Rank 1 have all read my messages but not replied so not looking good on that front. I suppose it all depends on whether they can be bothered to listen to the clip as well.

I sent Ferry the clip ages ago but never had a reply. I have had a reply from Yomanda (Paul Masterton) and he says he definitely not his either. Jule also confirmed that hes 100% its not one of Paul's also. It doesnt strike me as being Signum's style but i suppose you never know.

Rank 1 have read my email but have not replied......probably not them if thats the case. Also, i have had a reply from A.M.P although im not fully convinced hes listened to the clip as he just listed some tunes he once released. Westbam have also read and not replied

Well folks, I decided that i wasnt going to let this one die and so have done a bit of digging to try and find out once and for all what it is after seeing a post on trance addict. I sent off some emails to possible artists in the hope that one of em would recognise it. Tillman Uhrmacher said he didnt have a clue and had never heard it before Torsten Stenzel of York gave this reply "Hi, you know...i know this track, i have heard it...but i dont know who it is !? it reminds me to my old productions and to atb, who we influenced a lot with awakening on 9pm till i come...it has also the same bending effect on the roland lead sound..which isnt a real guitar, i always work with real instruments. keep me in the loop when you have more infos ! greetz t" Michael Rocco of Rocco & Heist replied "Hello Gaz, Hope you are well.
