Interesting stuff. Like Jason I'd be completely screwed without my glasses. I've always thought about trying contacts but never got round to it. A few years ago I didn't wear my glasses much, only when i really had to but now I wear them 24/7 and its so weird not having them on. I think before i was worried that getting contacts would mean I'd constantly rely on them to see and my eyes would get lazy and thus get worse. Not sure if this is true or not but the fact is that now I wear my glasses from the minute i get up to when I go to bed, so wearing contacts would make no difference in that sense. I'm seriously overdue an eye test so I think I'll ask about contacts when i finally get round to it

This is my favourite ministry complilation by far. Highlights for me are: Systematic Parts - Violin De La Nuit: this one takes me off into another world whenever I hear it, I get really absorbed in the track somehow Hands Burn - Goodshot: needs no explanation really just a fantastic tune ROOS - Instant Moments:: I used to put the CD in and just listen to this tune over and over sometimes, it still gets played in virtually any trance classics set I play now. BT - Godspeed: agree with simcut on this Roadblock - The Rules: Quality tune this Absolom - Baby Bloomers: Absolutely love this tune - one of those I wish I had on vinyl but I didn't even have decks back then unfortunately. Jason, I certainly do remember pumpin system, I used to love that tune. is JS16 not also an alias for Darude?

I'm pretty sure the DT8 Tune is calle "Power of One", he's tracklisted it as both things a couple of times now but I'm sure the vocal actually says "this is the power of one". A very good tune that one. i havn't heard any shows the last couple of weeks, the tracklist looks fairly similar to last weeks in terms of the 2nd half but perhaps I will give it a listen as at least 2 of you think its been a better show than the previous couple.

That guy does sound like a total prick. Im surprised Jules couldn't get security to have him removed from the Booth, even if he was supposedly the promoter's mate.

Agree with you there mate. Finally got this now, although I've only recently realised what it is after getting the judgement sundays CD. Proper bangin tune, reminds me of the same sort of style as JOC - Cruise Control

I have checked my downloads of the jules mixes. the one called may 2005 is that exact tracklist. I think Jules uploaded that live recording from June as his May mix, i seem to remember it going up quite late.

Thats a fair point Bjorn, there were also some very interesting acoustics which really added to the problems. I just found it very harsh. It was bass heavy but also certain high frequencies would really cut through sometimes and hurt your ears. My ears would always be ringing for the rest of the day after Crasher, ive been to other nights just as loud but where the sound has been very clean and not had ringing ears at the end. Funktion 1 seems to be one of the best systems for this in my experience but no I dont work for them and I'm not on commission or anything, ahaha.

On the subject of Club sound systems I personally dont like the system in God's either, cant really remember specifically how it was bad but it just was. I think GK could definately benefit from funktion 1, its such a good system for a club or enclosed environment. I would say not necessarily ideal for outdoor stuff though which is why Esape in the park was good as they had funktion 1 in the tents but a line array on the outdoor stage. I shant bore you with the details of line array theory but basically they giver a longer throw in that the drop off in level over distance is much less than with a system such as funktion 1 which is set up in clusters or stacks either side. The use of line array outside was good as the main stage could be heard quite far back. Global gathering last year used a line array in the main tent which I guess could be justified by the sheer size of the tent, but it would be interesting to try funktion 1 in there, I think it was a little quiet at times last year. I was going to rant about the apalling sound system at Crasher but then suddenly remembered its gone... still seems weird to say it. Hears hoping they get a decent system for the re-build though.
