being as you're quite new to Djing (i think), you should probably just work on beat matching and getting the basics down first off, sampling & effects can be superb once you get going but i'm sure the CDJs you have will have quite a few effects on anyway.

Hm I don't like effects very much, they should be used sparingly. In fact I don't use them at all! If you choose a special one at the right time, then its great. As Mr Tom said, get the basics correct first so you're top-notch and confident, then start adding these :wink:
