bigsteve
That Frog ringtone is supposed to be outselling Coldplay's single 4 to 1. If I could get Karl G's remix of Speed of Sound, I'd buy 4 copies to try and thwart the frog
thirddrive
Christ. That's terrible and I hate Coldplay with a passion. I downloaded the remix from Karl G's website, now proudly sitting on a CDR:) Crazy frog is just making advertisment breaks even worse than they already are... bigsteve
I downloaded the remix from Karl G's website, now proudly sitting on a CDR:) I have little hope it will get a release, so just might have to buy a CD deck!
Neuro
That's terrible and I hate Coldplay with a passion. I love Coldplay, think I owned just about every track of theirs (including the rare singles B sides) until my hard drive crash and they were all wiped! New album is out next week, called X&Y
JasonB
It won't get an official release no chance, a white label release could be possible though, even though I have it on cdr, on vinyl would be nice too.

It will be such a shame if it doesn't, but I can understand why. Looks like I'll be buying a CD deck then
FuzzY-LogiC
Just curious... do you guys know Final Scratch? by Stanton & Native Instruments. Final Scratch basically consists of 2x speciel coded vinyls (a 3rd is included as backup) & a External soundcard which you hook up to your PC/Mac with Firewire cables. Your turntables & mixer then connects to the soundcard aswell & BANG! you can mix mp3/ogg/wave/aiff and CDs, on those speciel Vinyls... like it was REAL vinyl!! With a fast-enough computer, you are able to lower the latency & get super precise feeling while scratching fx. I happen to own a FS 2.0 kit myself & i must say it works very well! anyways... its the price of 1x CD deck & imho, the value of alot more. http://www.stantondj.com/v2/fs/index.asp Have a good weekend, all! It will be such a shame if it doesn't, but I can understand why. Looks like I'll be buying a CD deck then
thirddrive
Yeh i've heard of it but never tried it and haven't actually heard much feedback other than from you whether it was good or not! Though i'm still happy I splashed out on my CD decks.
Neuro
It sounds great but I can't get my head round the concept of how it actually works! I'd have to see it in the flesh to understand what goes on - it's a very clever idea overall.
bigsteve
The Frog is number 1 Interesting Jules one-liner this week: "I was in Paris this week and there were Crazy Frogs everywhere!"
Neuro
Jules hates the Frog tune, which is hardly surprising. Don't we all? How are the charts contructed these days, singles sales and downloads??
bigsteve
Everything under the sun, I think Sales were so bad, they had to do something

FuzzY-LogiC
yup! Wink was one of the first major DJ's who actually stood up & "admitted" his use of Final Scratch... These days alot of DJs use it incl: PvD & a whole lot of Drum & Bass DJs... tim: i'll see if i can arrange to borrow a DV-Cam from my friend & record a little session of me spinning the decks with Final Scratch... for your pleasure Josh Wink used to sing the praises of final scratch. thirddrive
That would be great to see it in action. How much did you pay for it?
Neuro
Would be very interested in seeing this in action... If I return to Copenhagen this year I might pop round and see it live! I'm still amazed at how it actually works.
bigsteve
What ever happened to a simple pair of decks and a mixer...the youth of today

Neuro
Well if you think about it seriously it's just a reaction against digital media - the lengths this goes to just so that you can make mp3 files behave like vinyl.... incredible. And perfect when you can actually witness the transfer from vinyl to CDs (from an electronic music perspective). You are as curious as I am, so don't take the high ground!
bigsteve
I'm just starting to consider a cd deck, so I'm slowly catching on! BTW, I've heard about portable phones that you can use anywhere. Are they any good, like?
