hmm, that remix of 'Join Me' is one i've never heard before...

i checked my maxi CD, and it aint any of the following:

Club Mix

Plug'n Play Remix

A. Extended Mix

D.P. Extended Mix

so i dunno if there were a whitelabel remix of this tune at the point, but as far as discogs shows, there no other mixes of this track from that time :(

It's a quite nice remix by the way... though the 'Club Mix' still holds the no. 1 spot on my list ;)

btw, i wonder if Scott Bond got the idea of scratching in the break of Jonah - 'Listen' from Jules, or vica versa :D

hm, this is the second time i've heard Amanda sing It's My Turn... this time she hits the beat! even though she sings over the vocal version of the track and not like at Love Parade UK where she sang on the instrumental version... and didn't hit the beat a single time :(

anyway... nice mixing from Jules, though the order of the tracks are a bit weird... to put 'Angelic' in between 'The Act' and 'Storm' seems a bit strang eto me...

hm, the unknown track 9 sounds like Yomanda... or the like..

Will: nice upload btw, appreciate it bigtime! any idea which radio station this was recorded from?

EDIT: nevermind, it seems it was broadcasted on 2FM...

Cheers again!

  • 8 months later...

Will: if you read this... are you sure it's Scott Bond on the decks, playing the 3 first tracks?

I starting doubting it as Jules have done scratching the same spot in "Listen...", including tapping on the turntable (or mic, but sounds like when you tap on a turntable and the gain is really loud)...

Just a thought :)

ehm, scratch that... the host shouts "this is scott bond!"... sorry!!

btw, date is confirmed to be 04.29.2000 as stated here: http://homepage.eircom.net/%257Ebclear/clubie/homelands.html

I have about 12 different mixes of Lightforce - Join Me on vinyl and the closest mix to this is the 'Dave London' mix and it still sounds nothing like this one. I think the mix Scott Bond played is by far the best, even better then the club and Plug 'n' Play mixes...

I am completely stumped on this one. Well done on no.9 Ducky. Thanks

Fuzzy now we know where Jules got the idea from :P

Lightforce - Join Me

Mixes I can find:

Marcos Remix A (2004)

Marcos Remix B (2004)

C&J Breaks Mix (2002)

A. Extended Mix (2002)

Lightforce Club Mix (2002)

Pants & Corset Remix (2002)

Seth Lawrence Tribal Mix (2002)

Dave London's Breaks Remix (2002)

Club Mix (2000)

Radio Mix (2000)

A. Radio Mix (2000)

D.P. Radio Mix (2000)

A. Extended Mix (2000)

D.P. Extended Mix (2000)

Plug 'N' Play Remix (2000)

Lightforce Radio Mix (2000)

It could also be their release of the same year called "Fantasy", which was never released apart from a 3 min radio edit - it's randomly flung on the end of 2 "Join Me" CD single releases? Probably not, but just thought I'd flag it, sirs!

Btw look what they are charging for a copy of Join Me over on *HTFR* LOL

Jesus christ. That's absurd. I like the way they always seem to say last copy. Basically they're trying to make you panic buy. Bet once you've bought it, the website still says last copy. Bet they'll have been lucky enough to get hold of another one to sell for £50. Miracle!
