It sounds very much like Radio One forgot to do what they used to do back in the days... only turning up the mics recording the crowd every once in a while.... instead they left them on, which creates this hollow/echo-sounding broadcast with crowd noise all the way throughout the set :(

I'm all for crowdnoise, because it takes the atmosphere of the venue directly to the lsiteners at home... but this is overkill. Much like on Christopher Lawrence's set from Planet Love in 2006. Brilliant set, just waaaay too much crowdnoise :|

So if the BBC sound-engineer responsible for the above recording is reading this... SHAME ON YOU!! :ermm:

I think it was just extremely loud and you really have to come to one of these events in Ireland to experience just how loud the crowds are.
