Max Kane
Tom Bailey presents... The Progressive Showcase Episode 022 w/ Guests Marc Cruickshank & Mark Naylor Monday November 24th 2008 Exclusive to http://www.sense.fm The Progressive Showcase returns this coming Monday November 24th with Episode 022, exclusive to http://www.sense.fm. This week's show sees me welcoming two new guests as we introduce Mark Naylor & Marc Cruickshank. The show will be taking a turn into deeper territory showcasing a range of sounds from both of our excellent guests. First up we welcome Marc Cruickshank, Marc has been playing now for over five years showcasing his unique style which fuses deeper techno with melodic progressive house. As founder of popular Leeds based night Blank, it's a real pleasure to have Marc on board for an exclusive thirty minute mix. Our second guest this week is Mark Naylor. Mark is also part of the team at Blank & has seen his profile steadily growing over the past year with standout performances for a range of events. Mark's energetic mix of all things progressive will conclude this weeks show. I'll be taking care of the opening sixty minutes presenting a slightly different kind of set. In fitting with our guests' styles I'll be playing some deeper tracks with productions & remixes from the likes of Remy, 16 Bit Lolitas & Roger Martinez featuring, along with a host of others. The show kicks off at 17.00 (GMT) with the running order being myself 17.00 - 18.00, Marc Cruickshank 18.00 - 18.30 & Mark Naylor 18.30 - 19.00. I'll also be updating a live tracklist thread & will provide more details on Monday, hope that some of you can tune in! Max Kane
I'll be updating info for the next broadcast closer to the time (8th December) but thought I'd give a little heads up on what to expect. The show is being billed as our 'Best of...2008' special. I'll be bucking a few trends in order to make sure the show lives up to it's billing. For starters I'll be introducing several different features (listed below) & choosing my personal favourites from each category, then I'll be welcoming not one but two guest DJs. The two guests are confirmed as Russell G & Freesoup. These two guest DJs provided stunning guest mixes earlier this year & were officially ranked as our two most popular guests all year. Therefore I feel it fitting to included thirty minutes from both for part of this special show. The categories I'll be featuring are below, I'd also welcome any board members to fill in their personal favourites in each category too Categories Tune of the year 1 Tune of the year 2 Tune of the year 3 Producer of the year Label of the year DJ of the year Remix of the year Vocal track of the year Breakthrough producer of the year Intro track of the year I'll be giving more precise details just prior to broadcast, finally thanks for all the support from everyone on the board this year, the show couldn't survive without you
Max Kane
Tom Bailey presents... The Progressive Showcase Episode 023 - 'Best of...2008' w/ Guest Freesoup Monday December 8th 2008 Exclusive to http://www.sense.fm The Progressive Showcase returns exclusively to http://www.sense.fm with Episode 023, our retrospective look at the best of 2008. I'll be presenting an hour of my favourite tracks from this year, split into categories, acting as something of an awards show. The second hour of the show sees me welcoming back our 'Guest of The Year', a DJ who provided a standout guest mix for us back in May. Freesoup will be providing the soundtrack with a fantastic eclectic thirty minutes. As one of our top rated guests during 2008 it's only fitting we welcome back Freesoup for another half hour showcase. The second hour of this week's show was also scheduled to feature a thiry minute mix from Russell G, but due to unforseen circumstances Russell is unable to provide us with a 'Guest of The Year' mix so I'll be filling in with a second thiry minutes to round out the show. We're hoping to have Russell back for another guest mix sometime in early 2009. The show kicks off at our usual time of 17.00 (GMT) via the Progressive Channel on http://www.sense.fm I very much hope some of you can tune in!
