Tom Bailey presents...

The Progressive Showcase

Episode 060 w/ Tom Bailey

The Gallery @ Ministry of Sound Special

Monday August 23rd 2010

Exclusive to http://www.sense.fm

The Progressive Showcase returns this coming Monday (August 23rd) for another two hours of the very finest in progressive dance music. This week's show is billed as a 'The Gallery @ Ministry of Sound Special' as I will be re-living two of my favourite ever live sets, recorded live from one of the world's biggest promotions at a truly historic club.

I'll be presenting these sets as a special warm-up of sorts for my forthcoming appearance at the club on Friday August 31st where I will take to the lineup alongside Gallery residents The Viceroy & Gavyn Mytchell, DAT Sound System, DJ Gravity and of course the legendary Markus Schulz. I am hoping to present a return of the 'Live Set Special' shows with my recorded set being broadcast during Episode 061 - watch this space!

To get you all (and myself) into the mood I will be presenting two separtate thirty minute excerpts from my two previous appearances at The Gallery (recorded live in April 2009 & August 2009) during a specially extended 'Showcase Spotlight' segment, taking place during hour two of this week's show. The two sets rank as two of my all time career highlights and still bring back fabulous memories so I am delighted to be able to share the experience with you all once again. During these sets you can expect to hear massive production and remix work from the likes of Cirez D, Mark Knight & Funkagenda, Tritonal, Popof, Michael Cassette & many more.

The opening hour of the show will feature a regular 'studio mix' which will contain our 'Tune of The Month' and our 'A Little Deeper...' selections for August. During this hour expect to hear exceptional new music from the likes of Pryda, Umek, Michael Woods & more.

The show is scheduled for broadcast on Monday August 23rd 2010 exclusive to the Progressive Channel over at http://www.sense.fm. Broadcast times are included below:

UK 17:00 - 19:00

CET 18:00 - 20:00

CST 11:00 - 13:00

I very much that some of you can tune in!

A very brief update (it's been a long week and I am sick of staring at my screen).

I have placed the show on hiatus for the immediate future. I will be leaving Sense.FM after almost two years of fantastic partnership and wish to convey my immense gratitude to Ivan and everyone else involved with the show who have helped to make it such a success. I wil be writing a proper farewell post at some point this weeked but long story short this is not the end of The Progressive Showcase.

I have a five year anniversary of the first broadcast coming up in February and intend to make it a very special event.

Details on a new home for the show and other such admin will be posted soon. Thank you to everyone who takes an interest in the show and I will be back presenting more episodes in the not too distant future.

The show is set to return in December, albeit with a new host station and a tweaked format.

I'll give full details closer to the time but the show will still air twice a month, though on the 1st & 3rd Monday from now on, & I will be doing one hour shows as opposed to the two hour shows I have been doing for the past 3 years.

Our new host station will be http://www.innervisionsradio.co.uk & I will be starting a new thread very soon to promote the show with links and so on.

Thanks to everyone who regularly tuned in to the show, your continued support will be very much appreictaed as we enter a new chapter in the show's illustrious history!
