The Progressive Showcase

Episode 025 - Birthday Special

Monday January 12th 2009

Exclusive to http://www.sense.fm

The Progressive Showcase returns for our first show in 2009 this coming Monday, with a special show to mark the one year anniversary of our debut broadcast with http://www.sense.fm. In total The Progressive Showcase has been running (almost) continually for three years across various stations so to mark our birthday event I'll be presenting a two hour mix featuring a handful of my favourite tracks from my time presenting the show, alongside a selection of current favourites.

The show kicks off at 17.00 (GMT) running non-stop until 19.00 with two hours of solid progressive house, trance & the aforementioned classic tracks interspersed. I very much hope some of you can tune in!

The show is all ready to go for tomorrows broadcast. I'll be creating & updating a live tracklist thread once we're up & running.

The mix will feature seven 'birthday classics' alongside an array of the finest new music with productions & remixes from the likes of Jaytech, David Forbes, Markus Schulz & many more.

I'll refrain from airing my true thoughts on the apparent f*** up today as the bloody station has decided to play my year mix instead of the specially crafted birthday show I spent so long putting together.

As inconsequential as it may appear it really annoys me due to the effort & time I put into recording said show & all of the promo I've done which is now wasted & makes me look like a right soppy t**t.

I'll post the birthday mix later

Checked this out , I bought the Hard Emotion Mix of Vision moor oomph for me, Passage In Time after hearing on TATW is amust, I dunno waether to buy Leaving Paradise or not I hate it when sites have exclusives and rubbish samples, if every site adopted djdownloads needle drop jobby everything'd be much better to decided on!

I love the breakdown in Revolution but thats it basically shame, wish the strings were used more

Cheers for taking a listen mate, I think every Rex Mundi/Boy Haggeman tune over the past couple of years has been essential for me, love the sound he's got going & think the way it's been slightly changed up on the new EP is stunning. The Rowald Steyn ep is another I really like at the moment, 'Hold Control' is probably a bit more your thing over 'Revolution' though I like both

Monday January 26th 2009

Exclusive to http://www.sense.fm

The Progressive Showcase returns this week with Episode 026 featuring a special guest mix from rising Nottingham based DJ/Producer Craig Gallon. Craig has had a stellar few months notching notable success with his production work, featuring on Pete Tong's popular 'Fast Trax' podcast & having various works signed to labels Neuroscience, Prehab & Bedroom Bedlam. DJ wise Craig has played for a variety of nights across the UK since his debut gig back in October 2006.
