Quadrant
What's happened to your connection, exactly sir?
Max Kane
It's a long story but basically my trusty old pc which has all my recording software on it is incompatible with the net at the moment, it's being sorted but taking ages. I have got the ability to burn CDs back now which is cool though so with any luck the next edition of the show should be ok

Max Kane
Just a quick heads up for today & a brief update on the show itself... This week has marked the 5th Anniversary of http://www.sense.fm so as a result there have been no regular shows but rather a massive roster of residents & big name guest DJs providing one hour mixes. My mix is set to air this afternoon from 5pm straight after Mark Eteson. I appreciate the short notice of the update but it'd be cool if some of you could tune in (I'm stuck at work unfortunately) & I will post the download after the set is broadcast. The show will get back to normal with episode 050 on Monday March 22nd

Max Kane
Tom Bailey presents... The Progressive Showcase Episode 050 w/ Tom Bailey Monday March 22nd 2010 Exclusive to http://www.sense.fm The Progressive Showcase returns this coming Monday (March 22nd) with Episode 050. This week's episode will see me once again splitting the show into two seperate one hour segments & presenting two differing mixes featuring all that is great & good within progressive at the moment. Splitting the show in this way enables me to present a much wider range of music, as well as allowing easier downloads, something which has proven popular when trialled previously. Hour One of the show will feature tracks from the deeper side of my sound, expect productions & remixes from the likes of Gui Boratto, Cirez D, Funkagenda, Christian Smith, Pryda & others. Hour Two of the show will feature much more 'peak time' prog tracks with a generally more trancey feel. Expect music from the likes of Skytech, Max Graham, Kyau & Albert, Ben Preston & more. The show is set for broadcast via the Progressive channel over at http://www.sense.fm starting at the earlier time of 16.00 (UK) 17.00 (CET) & the usual 11.00 (CST) due to the difference in US daylight savings time. I very much hope some of you can tune in! Useful Links http://www.sense.fm http://www.myspace.com/djtombailey
Max Kane
Unfortunately with the US daylight savings times kicking in a week earlier (or is it two - I can never remember) & work commitments I won't be home in time to update my usual live tracklist for tomorrow's show. However the broadcast is still set for 16.00 (UK) via the station's Progressive Channel, running for two hours. I will get tracklist & download details up once I get home

Max Kane
Changes to the Format of The Progressive Showcase First off thanks to those of you who continue to support the show, I never imagined it would last this long & it's pretty amazing to think we've been going for over four years & just recently broadcast our 110th total episode & 50th show since the switch to http://www.sense.fm. Secondly I feel it's time to change things up slightly. I've been liaising with various people, mainly listeners & people at the station & I feel we need to spruce things up slightly in order to keep the show fresh & interesting. I won't pretend like this is some massive shake-up or major news but thought I'd share it with you anyway & see what the popular consensus is regarding the proposed changes. The show's broadcast times will (for the moment at least) remain unchanged. We'll continue to broadcast on the 2nd & 4th Monday of each month from 17.00 - 19.00 (UK time). The first show of the month (2nd Monday) will remain largely unchanged. I am going to try & recruit more guests for the show in this slot (ideally I want one every month but every other month will be a minimum target). Guest mixer suggestions are also welcome! If I can't get a guest then I'll continue with the extended two hour solo sets. The second show of the month (4th Monday) is where I aim to change it up slightly. I'll be incorporating a few new features with the aim of giving the show some fresh ideas. There won't be anything radical in there & I don't intend to have a dance anthems style 'shout out' segment so don't panic. The features I'm going to introduce are... 'Tune of the Month' 'A Little Deeper...' 'Showcase Spotlight' Tune of The Month is pretty self explanatory - basically featuring the biggest track on the show & in gigs across the respective month. A Little Deeper... will allow me to showcase a track from the darker side of the show's range, perhaps something that wouldn't usually appear within the show. Showcase Spotlight will feature a 30mins (very occasionally extended to one hour) mix showcasing tracks from a particular artist, label, album, country, vocalist, year, etc. I hope once this feature is established that I can get a little more creative with it too. Hopefully at least one of these rather pretentious ideas will appeal, please feel free to vent & let me know any thoughts.(if any of you care)
Max Kane
In addition to the changes to the show that I have outlined I'd also really appreciate some input regarding a few future features I'll be presenting on the show in the coming months. Basically I'm welcoming any suggestions for the following: Guest Mixers Who would you like to see on the show in the future? (Reasonable suggestions please - I don't expect to be able to bag Armin or Ferry) Showcase Spotlights Which Labels, Artists, Compilations, Albums, Calender Years, Vocalists, etc would you like to see featured for thirty or possibly sixty mins on the show? I already have plenty of ideas for this segment but would love some input from everyone on here. The basic plan for the Showcase Spotlight will see the chosen entity, for example lets say I feature Arnej, showcased for the entirity of the final half hour of the show. So for Arnej I'd present a 30mins mix of his biggest productions & remixes. I'm keen to get opinions on who or what the best features could be, let the debate begin... Max Kane
Tom Bailey presents... The Progressive Showcase Episode 051 w/ Tom Bailey & Guest Russell G Monday April 12th 2010 Exclusive to http://www.sense.fm The Progressive Showcase returns this coming Monday (April 12th) for another two hours of the finest in all things progressive, this week with a special guest mix from exceptional UK DJ/Producer Russell G. Russell is no stranger to the show, having featured with stellar guest mixes in both 2008 & 2009. As a result we decreed that he would be the ideal guest to participate in our mini re-launch. With productions & remix work on huge International labels such as Armada (Pilot 6), Baroque, 303 Lovers, Whoop Records & more, Russell's unique blend of progressive house has seen his profile steadily rise. With regular tour dates across the world Russell's DJing has evolved & recent standout gigs at clubbing institutions such as Godskitchen & The Gallery coupled with regular stops in Indonesia & the far east & gigs all over Europe have served only to further his growing reputation. I'm an avid fan of Russell's production work with tracks like 'Whiplash', 'Solstice' & 'Whippersnap' & his superb remix work regularly dominating the show. I'm very excited to welcome him back to the show providing us with a searing final thirty minutes during an exclusive guest mix. The opening ninety minutes will feature a studio mix from your humble host. As always expect a fusion of progressive house & trance with some deeper bits thrown in for good measure. Productions & remixes come from the likes of Moby, Gui Boratto, Solarity, Josh Gabriel, Arty & more. The show is scheduled for broadcast via the Progressive Channel over at http://www.sense.fm from 17.00 - 19.00 (BST) 18.00 - 20.00 (CET) & 11.00 - 13.00 (CST).
