Neuro
I don't know if any of you lot have listened to Christian's show on the Nottingham Uni station, but I did tonight and was very impressed! I'll be listening every week regularly now (like I do for Dormouse's) - it was really good and I wish I had an opportunity to do this For those of you who haven't listened, it's every Monday, 6-8pm @ urn1350.net and you can select an amazing sound quality too. Top stuff mate, and thanks for playing Nevada - 'Touched By The Hand' by the way - was really pleased with that

thirddrive
Thanks for tuning in and texting Tim! Couple of mistakes as usual, but luckily not on the mixing, score. Embarassingly mixed up CRW 'I Feel Love' with Marc et Claude - 'I need your lovin'. Meh! It is in fact my last show of the term next week since semester ends at Nottingham and most of the URN crew will be off home. But, i'll try and get it bursting with top tuneage to make up for that fact! Oh, i've finished the TL now Tim, or if anyone else wants a copy to see the general running order/types of tunes I play on the show feel free to contact

thirddrive
Cheers Have to play a more commercial based first hour in order to move away daytime playlist, but I don't think there's anything too offensive there. no Crazy Frog at least or scouse house, *shudder*. bigsteve
How much of it is mixed? Is it a similar format to Jules's?
thirddrive
Have a listen for yourself Save target as and all that : http://www.judgejulesarchive.co.uk/audio/c...N--30-05-05.mp3 Mostly only a couple of sections are mixed, mostly due to the fact that the studio doesn't have CD decks, and also due to the fact that most of the commercial tracks are radio edits, so not a lot I can do with them most of the time. The mixed sections of this weeks show via the link are: Gladiator - Underworld and Dumonde vs JJ til show end. It's quite difficult to work out which vinyl tracks you A) want to play, at a suitable time in the show and c) find a suitable next track to mix in that works harmonically or otherwise that also fits in with the "feel of the show". I have to move away from daytime playlist due to the 6-8 timeslot, so I try to keep it commercial to start, but gradually build tempo with more well known tracks, but also put in some less unknown stuff too (such as Rare Candy). So it's similar to Jules in the sense of building, but not in genres of tunage. I naturally end up with trance in the mix though:) Also, ppl with requests usually bugger up the flow, LOL! Tho kept Nevada for the right moment, Tim

thirddrive
Lol, everyone keeps saying that to me! I can't hear it myself! Thought I sounded a bit downbeat in places on last weeks show, didn't mean to come across like that :? Hope the mixing sounded ok too  Back on again tomoz night, last show of semester.
