Crasher returns to Nottingham, Friday 27th February 2009.

Master of numerous music industry disciplines, Menno de Jong has already carved enough notches on the dance tree for someone twice his age. His production & remix career has seen him record for some of Europe’s biggest trance labels and he’s the owner of lauded Dutch independent Intuition Recordings. Would like to go to this but I don't get back from holiday until late on the 25th and jet lag will most certainly be still messing my life up by the Friday. Would be interested to see R.Durrand and Meno seems to get rave reviews.

That line-up is right up my street. Menno and Durand are class. The only thing is, as per, Crasher haven't got a warm-up DJ again so it looks like Menno would be put on warm-up duties, so that'd put me off going. I'd prefer to see Menno at a 'proper' time when he can play his natural style.

Why are Crasher the only brand to not have a specialist warm-up DJ?

I bet none of those do warm up duties. Crasher use a Notts DJ called Joe Napier as their so called resident. He's absolute gash and the three time's I've seen him he has severely messed up. Maybe they may use one of these guys but Joe never appears on the line up anyway (perhaps because he's crap).

They used Manuel Le Saux the last time in Sheffield, and Simon Patterson has also been wasted on warm-up duties in the past. Its daft. Why waste a grand or so on a headliner, only to stick them on warm-up duties, when there are good up-and-coming warm-up-suited DJ's that'd give their left arm to play - people such as Tom Bailey.

I'm contemplating this. Will have serious jet lag but the line up is tops. Never seen Durand DJ so would be cool. Anyone else going?

If Menno is doing warm-up, which looks likely, then i'm not going because A&N aren't really my cup of tea, Menno will be wasted, so i'll only benefit from Durand.

If A&N are on warm-up, then i'd go because Menno is superb at peak time, and so is Durand.

EDIT: We need Tom Bailey on warm-up duties! BAILEY 4 CRASHER!!

Crasher Returns to Nottingham

Friday 27th February 2009

GatecrasherLovesNottingham

Menno De Jong

Agnelli & Nelson

Richard Durand

GatecrasherLovesNottingham have definitely put Friday nights back on the agenda, seeing some of the world’s hottest DJs and dance acts flying in from across the world to grace us with their presence. And following on from the success of Crasher in 2008, the night which put Gatecrasher on the map and has thousands, if not millions of dedicated followers across the globe, Crasher returns to GatecrasherLovesNottingham for the first of their 2009 instalments on Friday 27th February.

Headlining will see none other than the master of numerous music industry disciplines, Menno De Jong returning behind the decks after a storming performance at Gatecrasher’s white party. Menno has already carved up enough notches on the dance music tree for someone twice his age. His production and remix career has seen him record for some of Europe’s biggest trance labels and he’s the owner of lauded Dutch independent Intuition Recordings. As a DJ he has closed gigs for Tiesto and Paul van Dyk, is currently ranked No. 48 in DJ Magazine’s Top 100 Chart and has played in over 25 countries. At just 24 years old, he is without question the next challenger to the Dutch trance throne.

Next up sees Gatecrasher favourites Agnelli & Nelson, who have been in the music industry together since 1997. Their massive Balaeric hits such as ‘El Nino’ and ‘Everyday’ have helped define the sound of the Ibiza party spirit and have become firm classics with the Gatecrasher crowd. Their most recent track ‘Holding onto Nothing’ was championed by the likes of Oakenfold and Paul van Dyk who made a special re-rub of the track for his own Vandit imprint. On the DJ front, these guys have been in the industry for so long but have yet to retire and are still spinning throughout the world and amazing crowds from the U.S to Japan.

Next on deck duty will see Richard Durand who is without doubt one of the hottest new trance DJ / Producer to emerge from Holland this past year. Recommended by Tiesto as ‘Tip For The Top in 2007’, Richard has responded with a string of stunning productions and remixes in recent months, including reworks of Tiesto’s ‘Lethal Industry’, ‘Flight 643’ and ‘Break My Fall’ and his solo tech trance bombs such as ‘Make Me Scream’ and ‘Slipping Away’. Not content with only being one of the most in demand producers on the planet, Richard Durand is one of the most technically accomplished DJs n dance music today. The proof of Richard’s show-stopping sets and crowd pulling DJ status is confirmed by a DJ diary that has exploded due to demand playing at high profile shows and festival appearances, such as Dance Valley, Planet Love, Coloursfest amongst many others, thus culminating in Richard Durand rising to No. 66 in the DJ Magazine Top 100 poll in 2008.

With Menno De Jong, Agnelli & Nelson and Richard Durand on hand to play at Crasher on Friday 27th February, GatecrasherLovesNottingham, this night will most definitely see the lion roaring back into Nottingham.

See you on the dancefloor
