Number2Fan Posted August 16, 2009 Report Share Posted August 16, 2009 TBF I aint heard it yet, but I know I will hate it, these s*** remixes of chart tunes are getting worse and worse I cannot f****** stand them and they annoy me more than normal because JULES is playing them I mean FFS!! He'd get a huge reaction if he played that when I was in the room.....wouldn't be the first time I'd sworn at a DJ in disgust, but i wouldn't wanna have to do it to Jules.....last time was because the bloke dropped Dexy's midnight runners at midnight in NYE. In the past it wouldn't have bothered me so much that Jules played a chart remix on his show because in the past I knew that his show was on earlier and needed that kinda start and always improved through out it's time slot, to be a better indication of what he played live by the end of the show, a good gateway to dance and then those that heard him on air would perhaps pay to see him live and get hooked on the clubbing drug. However I know that now, THAT kinda record IS what he is playing live and it depresses me. There really is NO need, but if Jules' tastes have swung that way, it must be his age and his kids that have done it to him. SURELY no one wants a club DJ whom they've actually paid a fair bit to see in the first place, play the Black eyed peas remix, or Kings of Leon, Killers whatever. I can get those tunes in a local pub for free!!! If I wanted and the drinks would be cheaper and I could still get to bed on time. 21st birthday party maybe, MoS NO! Third track he played is dire too! Maybe he'll put a bit Cascada on next week! As for this Meck - Windmills [bart Claessen Remix] (Frenetic) that was one of my fave songs, and that is an awful awful version of it. Doesn't go at all, terrible vocals! This time, i'll be surprised if he's even in the top 40. His Radio 1 career is saving him at the moment. When he's eventually sacked, he'll drop outside the top 100 I reckon. or is he afraid of losing his slot???? I dunno about losing his slot - losing the plot more like.
