No idea, but... this is a clear indication of what we were dancing to in clubs in 1994, when the scene had been split into seperate section (genres) post acid house and rave. IMO

Most of our nights out started with these kinda tunes, and got slightly harder as the nights went on. :)

Hello all. I can't believe I've found this, I had it on an old tape long since lost....totally amazing! Thank you very much!

Particularly looking forward to re-living the Green Velvet mix with that tune with the funny ... errr whistley sireny noise in it....can't describe it..... COME ON!

Hehe no looking at the track listings the sireny noise I mean must be from "track 21. Lemon 8 - 'Model 8' [Energy]". I think it follows nicely from Preacher Man, and the quick mix to "Let the record spin" is sweeeeeeeeeet :-) Listening to it now :-) In fact been listening to this tape all I can since the weekend. *So* ace one of my all time favs.

Martin808 - welcome to the board and really pleased you were able to find what you were looking for. We've all lost a few of those treasured tapes that's for sure!

I've merged your topic with this one which is the original thread associated with the audio in question (I'm also fixing the link in the file so it points here) :)

updated with newest and best version available online.

The previous version we had was only 92minutes, this is 117minutes with only the news missing smile.gif

enjoy this fine set!

I don't think my tape ever had the last bit of this mix on it, I certainly don't remember it like the rest of the tape. I guess the tape ran out hehe.

Hiya and welcome; what's the Sasha tape you're after?

Hey Chewbs thank you. I tracked it down in the end - it was Sasha at Universe on 19th June 1992, legendary...and takes me right back. I also love the MCing, top qualiity..."nice 'n easy lemon squeazy!". I have a great copy link if anyone is interested :-)

Listening to this essential mix again, so bloody darn good!!

There is an unknown track between 16. Afro Cube and 17. Warp!!

Anyone got an idea about it?

The male vocal is sampled from 'Dupree - Brass Disk', but I got no idea about the guitar.

I'll put up a soundbite later with just the unknown track :)

Hello

does anyone know the track Name in between Charvoni and Green Velvet ? It’s a Spanish type tune with the excellent breakdown before it mixes in with Green Velvet.
thanks.

It's The Two Amigos... the Summer Madness Mix:
