Massively keen on the origin of this mp3... I pestered Jules for ages to record his set but he said it wasn't done. Slim hope if Scott Bond's was recorded, the rest were too. Jivemaster?

I was there that night and Scott and Jules were the best (tracklisting here). Someone threw a pint over the mixer during Scott's set which cut out the bass for some of the beginning... thus cue silly volume boosters to treble and mid - thanks to Fuzzy-Logic for finding us all earplugs on the night as the music was definitely a million times over the comfortable limit!

It was recorded by Bondy and not the club itself so sadly can't help you there Neuro. He was billed as the special guest and came on after M.I.K.E. and Jan Johnston's Live PA. I was there too and as you rightly remember, the bass was cut out for the first two tracks and by the time Art of Trance came on, it had sorted itself out. There were no sound issues in the actual booth itself and had to keep checking the dancefloor to see if people were still covering their ears.

Like It's 1999 did another event on new years eve of that year. That was a b2b with Scott and Matt Hardwick, again a truly phenomenal oldskool set by them - you just don't hear this kind of quality on any compilation cd. Unfortunately, the night was as no where near as successful as their first outing - they had to cancel Talla2XLC and Taucher. They also had one this year with Jules, Mario Piu etc but had to cancel the whole event this time.

I remember being gutted I couldn't attend this night, as usual due to work commitments.

This is an iconic Bond tune for me and one which is criminally under rated. Tension, release, emotion in the melody; great stuff.

Thanks for sharing this.
