I think it's overplayed now more than anything. When it was released in 1998, it was played a lot, but no more than Stardust, or any other of the summer tunes from 1998. I'm still surprised at how much it still gets played out. OK it's a timeless classic, but then so are a lot of other tunes IMO and I haven't heard them played out since their release. I voted for Three N One remix. None of the others come close and i have good memories of being in Gatecrasher of this tune.

none of Armin's collaborations have impressed me over the past 12 months. Ever since Zocalo with Gabriel & Dresden, Armin's output has been particularly poor and doesn't actually sound what I consider trance to be anymore.

I agree with Briggsy. Radio 1 should know by now that the majority of listeners for each show are there for that show only and don't really give a s*** what comes before and after it. If one person wants to listen to Jules' show and the Essential Mix, then they will. Why they feel the need to 'wind down' to complement the next show is beyond me.

A good match, just as i expected with a new manager. We should have won more than 2-1. Rooney had a particularly good game I thought, should have scored at least two. Was surprised Gerrard got MOTM when I didn't actually see him do anything all match. Joe Cole setting up Jenas' goal was particularly inspired football I think.

seems like it! set was definitely a normal hour and half in length though. i also remember him playing Conductor & The Cowboy - Feeling This Way that night as well as Lovechild - Liberta

Yeah, it's the Stadium mix, I've got the original vinyl. PvD still plays this now (albeit in some truncated ableton form). This is the set that made me sit up and really take notice of Jules. I love the energy in it.

erm...no it wasn't. Jules states at the end of Disco Cop he's "coming at us live from Cafe Mambo" I think the Saturday 7pm show might have. Don't think I kept that though.

Tong 12am-1.30 Oakenfold - 1.30 Jules' set was 3-4.30. PS Man With No Name was Oakey's LAST tune.

I've absolutely no idea. I've only heard the mix Jules played.

There were loads of problems with the audio that night, although that was the least of our complaints to crasher afterwards! The sound went off there just like it did during Jules' set. One set of decks actually broke down while the Chemical Brothers were on earlier in the night! Good job 2 sets of decks were put up really!
