you cant beat a good cumberland. Though the size is somewhat intimidating and humbling at the same time...

i was on about sausages, not hot dogs. I dont like Hot Dogs anyway, and i cant stand Donner Kebabs. I was just curious thats all. I've seen mates eat donner kebabs and the next morning the conjealed fat at the bottom of the tray. I then think of it clogging up my arteries. No thank you. I go for the much much healthier option of BSE burger and chips after a night out I reckon the meat on those skewers must be the ideal breeding ground for maggotts too!

god they sound worse than donner kebabs! speaking of which, just what exactly is donner meat? I know its supposed to be lamb, but isn't it the crap parts of offcut meat? like lips and stuff?

when someone created sausages they were obviously having a laugh.

i do it purely to keep fit and healthy. Only the other day i heard of a local lad who was 28 years old who died of a stroke. He was pretty hefty but thats just too young!

i'm not fat and i have nothing against it, it's just, since around x-mas i've been eating crap and feeling lazy and i hate it. I am one of these people that get concerned about constantly eating junk. So three weeks ago back to the old healthy way for me. The hardest thing was getting into a gym routine again and running everyday. But the wonderful ladies and their toned bottoms at the gym made it a little more bearable.

Bingo, well, just summer is coming, i need to get toned again, and besides, i want some more ink around my torso...

Why is giving it up so hard? And Coke (a-cola ). Healthy eating bites the big one. Giving up sex is easier.... ...well almost!
  9. yes i got confused - clubbing taking its toll on me these days! I love "I Need Your Loving" and the Ratty Remix of "Loving You". So there
  10. just goes to show how forward thinking Dave Clarke is. At the time, nobody thought about releasing digital only music and it was most probably laughed at. Some 5 years later however, the penny's dropped.
  11. Ferry Corsten's sound was was quite distinct in 2000. He was starting to move away from the euphoric 1999 sound - more into a darker minor chord sound. System F "Cry", Desiderio "Starlight", William Orbit "Ravals Pavane...", Apoptygma Berzerk "Kathy's Song" productions all had a more mature Ferry Corsten sound. I guess what i'm trying to say is, this track isnt produced well enough to be Ferry. I initially thought Rocco & Heist, but if they say its not them then i its not. Hmm, this is the beauty of the mysteriousness that surrounds white labels.
  12. I dont think is Paul Masterson as Briggsy said. I dont think its Signum either, Signum, like Paul Masterson made their trance a bit funky - all in the basslines. I think this was knocked up by some bedroom producer, pressed on a limited run of whites. I dont think you'll ever know who did it unless Jules plays it on his show and it jogs someones memory.
  13. can someone re upload the samples. I need to have a listen to this. ta. the other links dont work.
  14. Haven't heard this in a while. Another that i could never get hold of at the time. IS it just me or is the bassline exactly the same as "Sound Of Bamboo"? My favourite track of the whole set. I remember hearing Jules play this at Crasher in 2k. I was like what the f...........k is this!?! I could never get hold of it though. Still a rockin' track. I particularly like the samples in there. I also like the screams of "nice one bruuuuuuuuuuuva" in the breakdown...oh the memories of phrases... God this sounds good even now. This always used to be played near the end by Jules back in the day. That breakdown is awesome. Good set this, well worth checking out. I remember this well, as our lot talked about going but alas, we never did. The atmosphere sounds great though. Fuzzy, cheers mate, big upload. For me, 2000 was when i got proper into trance/house, it was when i started playing out in Peterborough too - when we actually had a scene here, now it's all wetherspoons and Luminars, with the odd minimal night. Oh, i'm starting to feel real old now too.
  15. god i'd love to bag this, but i'm currently on a web n walk connection due to the fact the housemate who had the broadband connection has since moved out. I'm not resurrecting the line as i should be in my own house in about 8 weeks and the re connection fee will be too much for the 2 months. Anyway, shame the mix didnt last. When i get broadband back, i'll be bagging this. Jules played some cracking house stuff back in 98.
  16. I have this as a white label. It has "Rejected EP" stamped on one side and the run-outs have been scratched out. So i'd amend the tracklisting to simply "Rejected EP - Soulsearcher vs. Apollo 440" or something like that. The two tracks used in this mashup are Soulsearcher "I Just Can't Get Enough" (Accapella) over the top of Apollo 440 "Stop The Rock" (Gigolo's Stop The Jock Remix). It was made by Stuart Crichton of Narcotic Thrust fame. I remember reading in Mixmag around 2000 time when he made it and they interviewed him. He said all he did was buy a defected records accapella vinyl and literally threw the vocals over trance tracks. The b side has Powerhouse "What You Need" (Accapella) over the top of Humate "Love Stimulation". Good piece of vinyl, and as ever, the original bootleg is ALWAYS better.
  17. i wonder what the people who used to listen to jules back then are doing now? if some were say 23/24 then they'd be family people now all married up and stuff!
  18. ahhh very good find Mr Fuzzy Logic. I tell thee, there's some great atmosphere in that main room...just listen to it! That is one up for it crowd. Some good tunes on here...my favourite being the old Wicked Phunker - Jungle Boogie (Black Legend Mix). There was a Black Legend Vocal mix flying around on promo at the time which was even better, i never could get hold of it though so i settled for the dub mix which i have. That was when Robbie Rivera did make some seriously good house track/remixes. Then he went all tribal. Also listen to this type of funky/filtered house...how much better does it sound compared to the electro stuff of today? Marc Et Claude "Loving You" (Dark Moon Mix) also brings back some poignant memories. Jules displays some damn fine mixing here too. The type that help make his name. Very fluid and with a nice flow. A very good post from the Fuzzy one. Definitely download this one. Oh and one other thing, listening to jules mix on here do you get the feeling he finds it easier/prefers mixing with vinyl than he does CDJ's?
  19. track no.9, thats not the Soulsearcher bootleg is it? That was class, the vocals from Soulsearcher "I Just Can't Get Enough" over the top of Apollo 440 "Stop The Rock" (Gigolo's Remix). This was called "Stop The Soulsearcher" and it was on the "Rejected E.P". The flip side had Humate "Love Stimulation" with the Powerhouse "What You Need" vocals over the top. This EP i think was made by Stuart Crichton. He simply got hold of the Defected accapellas vinyl and mashed the tracks up. Either wa, suitably large tunage. Looks a good show, i'll fetch this now. Well i just listened and it's not the above track. It's some sort of remix of Soulsearcher!
