  1. I think it's great that you still love the music that Jules plays Chrissie. If it suits your tastes then there isn't really a better DJ, in terms of personality, approachability or all-around respectability to cater for your tastes. A lot of us have a bit of a moan on here about the current Jules sounds but you know, deepdown that we all love him really
  2. Also - sorry for the essay and seeming to disagree with you a lot lately Quadders - I love you really
  3. To be fair I agree that if, in a one off game, we were beaten by a superior side then no-one should be held directly responsible BUT the problems were there throughout the world cup in group games where we were clearly superior (as was displayed by the fact that we won) to the opposition and were playing against lowly sides, yet we still made an array of basic errors and played with no real gameplan or self belief. To change the centre pairing in virtually every single game is attrocious management and Johnson should be held responsible and possibly resign after bottling it and playing both Flood & Wilkinson when Wilkinson clearly needed dropping. The thing that is different with Rugby is that the World Cup is every four years, that is (really) the only major tournament and while the six nations and autumn internationals mean plenty, in realistic terms they are all intended to help build a world cup winning side. The process has to start in the next test match to decide who is going to be playing in four years time, who is worthwhile perseveering with (in the hope that they come good for four years time) and who can manage the transition (i.e. senior players who can be retained in the short term to ease the transition). That is where an "inquest" is needed as, more than likely, Wilkinson, Tindall, Shaw, Moody et al will not be required in the future due to their ages. There is too much of an expectation that England will win everything (and should win everything) - this is certainly a massive problem in football. I think in this tournament everyone's disspointment comes from the fact that we made so many basic errors - if, as with four years ago, we had gone out having played well and battled valiantly then there would not be the clamour for a post-mortem but we made so many awful handling errors and missed so many tackles that something does need to be said in order to ensure it does not happen again. We have showed (most notably against Australia twelve months ago) that we can beat the best and play a brand of rugby which can get such results - however throughout this world cup Johnson's innate conservatism and reluctance to gamble (Tulilagi aside) has limited us and dictated that we, ultimately, under-achieved.
  4. Nice find mate. Pretty much all of the tracks being played have that trademark Jules sound of the time - he was so unique back then. Next to no-one else played anything like that. Hideous shirt though
  5. Few in there I haven't heard for a long time mate - shall check this out over the weekend
  6. I concur wholeheartedly with the "any old genre" remarks mate - it seems a majority of labels have had no alternative but to take this approach due to good music apparently not selling in the trance market as it once did.
  7. There are still a few other labels kicking about (Bonzai Basics and Bonzai Breaks exist - I think) but it did make sense to shed a few of them. I was a member of the Bonzai promo pool and they had way too many labels churning out a variety of under-produced rubbish. Putting out wave after wave of sub-standard tracks was way more damaging to the legacy than cutting back on the amount of labels in order to try and regain some semblance of quality in my opinion
  8. Welcome to the site The set you mention is a cracker too - glad you finally found it!

  10. What an awesome idea - shall be having a bash at this later. Think I'll also use Jason's format (artist name)
  11. Totally agree with this! Even though presently my vinyl turntables are not set up I still love my vinyl and for the amount that they would be worth it really does not make any sense to sell them anyway!
  12. Have to agree with this. Though I take Nathan's point as 'Church of Ra' is one of those mythical tracks which no-one ever had. For him to finally land a vinyl copy and for it then to be released on mp3 must be a little annoying
  13. John Whitemann 'Can't Beat The System' (Ingo Remix) [Tidy Trax]
  14. Welcome aboard dude, hope you enjoy your stay. I'm no RnB fan but watch the racism
  15. Welcome aboard - the forum has gotten mighty random the past few weeks but it's still a friendly place
  16. It shouldn't surprise me but seriously! Bruno Mars? :ill: :pinkman:
  17. The Progressive Showcase returns!

  18. The Progressive Showcase 058 now broadcasting live, check the Members Audio forum for details

    1. Quadrant

      Quadrant

Missed the broadcast sir. Will download :)

  19. Never really liked vonyc, mainly for the reasons Jason mentioned. It was really annoying when they had an exclusive & you had to use paypal
  20. Only other one I have used in the past is DJTunes.com it's not the best but sometimes it allows you to buy tunes which are territory restricted elsewhere
  21. I used to use Audiojelly more than anywhere else but they gradually increased their prices & started charging for using a debit card. I avoid them at all costs now. Their only saving grace is they sometimes get the Armada exclusives but they rip you off for those too. I know beatport can seem a little pricey sometimes but at least they don't hike up prices to £2.39 for exclusives
