    Board skin

Hate to say it but I'm not a fan of the new skin at all, everything just seems to load much slower for me & whereas before I'd consciously engage in discussion across pretty much any thread I'm finding now that as it takes so long to post that I just post when I feel it's really necessary. It seems to take me ages to get the quick reply working & the board seems to freeze a lot more. Maybe it's just me
  3. Right then I've now been sent my allocation of tickets for sale. I'm going to start calculating numbers & details so those of you that fancy it let me know either via the thread or in a PM/Email & I can start working things out. Getting tickets from me in advance will work out cheaper than buying from the club direct or paying on the door
  4. Have a good un mate, hopefully the ETA situation has been resolved by the time you fly.
  5. Happy belated birthday mate, hope you had a good one yesterday
  6. Have just got the word that indeed all is official, I'll be playing for FutureFridayFeeling in the Loft area of the club with the rest of the rooms as below. I should be able to sort out some discounted tickets (not sure on prices yet so don't get too excited) with any luck. Hopefully I'll receive more details soon. Lineup is as follows: Box: Judge Jules Sister Bliss (Faithless) Greg Downey Orkidea Gavyn Mytchel The Viceroy Bar: Stonebridge Gavyn Mytchel & The Viceroy (House set) Greg Stainer Tristan D Loft: Gravity presents Future Friday Feeling Gravity Tom Bailey Hugo A Go Go Master Bremna DJ I Will B2B D. James Baby Box: Hosted by Champagne Sushi Lee Perry Steve Austin The Persuaders Saul Bliss Elizabeth J Jon Brady More details when I have them

  8. Evgeny Bardyuzha & Bebop - Sweetest Nightmare (Coldharbour) This actually forthcoming on Neuroscience Deep, got the promo through last week. Awesome tune
  9. Saw this posted on the anjuna board in the last few days, it was a decent place to pick up anjuna promo mp3s last year but as soon as they started the hook-up with beatport it looked grim for them. The reward points scheme was pretty good but other than that i don't think it'll be sorely missed. I never brought any of the promo CDs from there & know of very few people who did aside from the odd anjuna fan-boy
  10. A friend of mine emailed me a short while ago saying he googled 'The Progressive Showcase' as he wanted to catch up on some downloads of the show prior to attending a future gig, he was most surprised to find several sites offering various episodes of the show for sale! The most expensive site he found was asking $1.80 to download one of the two hour shows with others offering episodes for sale from $0.15 upwards. I'm truly amazed that a) this is happening & people would ever pay for an episode of the show when it's widely available for free & the cheeky sods who actually put it up for sale. I don't want the show to be up for sale in this way (as I happily share it for free & besides I know of no-one that would want to pay for it) but surely if it is being 'sold' I should have been contacted in some way prior to anything of this nature happening? Example
  11. Happy birthday Simon, have a good one mate

    I don't like it

Yep hopefully this is the temporary skin as for me personally it's desperately slow & a bit clumsy
  13. Excellent I'll get more details posted as soon as I have them
  14. I can't really see anyone paying a great deal for it so you have to wonder why bother selling it in the first place? It'll surely have more meaning to the person who originally took it than anyone else?
  15. Right then, seeing as I didn't make the last one I thought I'd get my arse in gear & actually go about sorting out a meet-up this time around. It's no coincidence as hopefully I'll be playing The Gallery on the same night but the mainroom lineup is (not 100% confirmed yet but pretty nailed on): Judge Jules Greg Downey Sister Bliss Orkidea The Viceory Gavyn Mytchell I'm scheduled to play once again for FutureFridayFeeling (most likely in the intimate Baby Box) so hopefully I'll be able to sort out tickets & everything else well in advance for those who are interested. Apply within
  16. Crasher in Birmingham is simply a money maker, they basically took over The Works & re-did it to aim for the cooler crowd but by & large got the same one. They've done so few dance music nights & when they do it's usually a housey affair, the Morillo night was supposed to be amazing though. I've been there once for a student indie night which was surprisingly good, it wasn't one of the discounted nights with cheap booze so the crowd was pretty cool. The Wombats played a DJ set which was actually pretty good
  17. Matt posted about this on his forum, he's not that keen but obviously it has bonus effects in introducing people to trance music & makes a good gift or something for people who don't already own such a CD. It's something I imagine a casual clubber would want, or someone who isn't really into dance music but likes the idea of being cool & having a Crasher CD

    THE ASHES

The batsmen let the side down really, in the 1st innings to have every player bar Monty get into double figures but the highest score is 69 is awful. Pietersen, Collingwood & Prior all needed to go on & do as Haddin, Ponting, Katich & North did. If we had got 500+ the game would have been totally different & we could have extered more pressure on them. Broad was well below par & if it doesn't swing then Anderson is limited. Strauss & Cook for me are both certs to play, their partnership averages something like 45 which is top class & they add a consistency to the team which is important, Cook needs to really be careful not to play across the line as he did in the 2nd innings though as that's a major flaw in technique

    THE ASHES

Cracking finish to the match, Monty was superb

    THE ASHES

I watched as much as I could this morning, just watched the remainder of the day on sky sports (well alternating between that & highlights of Le Tour). Decent position to be in, just a shame we lost the late wickets. If we can push up to 400, which is possible with Broad & Swann's capabilities with the bat, then we're set fair
  21. Never really liked vonyc, mainly for the reasons Jason mentioned. It was really annoying when they had an exclusive & you had to use paypal
  22. Only other one I have used in the past is DJTunes.com it's not the best but sometimes it allows you to buy tunes which are territory restricted elsewhere
