  1. 04. Quo Vadis - 'Sonic Boom (Life's Too Short)' (Yomanda Remix) [serious]
  2. 01. Espionage - 'A Revelation' (Trippy Funk Mix) [Rosenberg] That'll be the one you were looking for
  3. should be: 18. Dial M For Moguai - Bang The Drum (MSI Mix) [Kosmo]
  4. Im confused here. It sounds to me like there is only one track in between 'Portamento Passout' and 'Gonna Work It Out' Im hoping that number 13 is in fact number 12... ie they are one tune as this is one I was after from this set and I never worked out what it was. Have found it on Discogs so Im gonna buy it and hopefully get to the bottom of the issue if its the right track.
  5. Ok Marc et Claude - I Need Your Lovin (Dark Moon Mix) As I mentioned before the only difference in this and the version I have on Alphabet City is that the very start of the intro has an extra bit. The Line: Change your heart, look around you... etc is not in the version I have. Mine simply has the piano then the line, I need your lovin... like the sunshine... then the first beat drops.
  6. I know what number 9 is (I have it on vinyl) 09. Perfect Phase - 'Goal!!!' [2 Play]
  7. I totally agree with you here. The version played without the breakbeat in the breakdown was my favourite and I only heard it in the same set you are talking about. Would love to get a copy of that, haha. and a correction too: 05. Van Gelderen - 'Konga' [Polar State]
  8. Another set ive got on tape somewhere - although I only had last 90 minutes. Thanks for this one guys as always. Interesting those comments about the Dark Moon mix of Marc et Claude - I Need Your Lovin. I have this mix on Alphabet City and Im sure its the one he plays in this set - I never heard Jules play any other mix of it. He did seem to play a version of the Dark moon mix with a longer intro than the one I have - the bit with the piano and vocal at the begining before the beats come in. Im not sure if that one ever got released but apart from that slight difference the rest of the track is the same mix Im sure.
  9. Just had a listen. The DJ Garry tune is "My Own Kind of Style" Looking at the release on Discogs there is a mix of it called Fluffy Melody. Perhaps thats what was written on the original tracklist. I dont have the tune to confirm that's the right mix but here's the Discogs link: http://www.discogs.com/DJ-Garry-My-Own-Kin.../release/228884 So the correct ID could be: 16. DJ Garry - 'My Own Kind Of Style' (Fluffy Melody) [FTW] Anyone got this to confirm? Also the next tune, Darude - Feel The Beat is the js16 Dark Mix 17. Darude - Feel The Beat (JS16 Dark Mix) [Neo]
  10. Hmm, was the DJ Garry tune played in this set not "My Own Kind of Style"? I will double check this.
  11. Just tried to download it but I think the link's expired or something. Cant seem to find a download link. Looks a wicked track list though - would be up for listening to it.
  12. Dont worry, I took a gamble and bought an EP off Discogs from around the same time as the set was broadcast and I ended up with the right tune.. woohoo. So the tracklist needs correcting: 09. The Advent - 'Sketch' (Unknown Mix) [Tresor] should be: The Advent - 'Sketch Ups' [Tresor] This is featured on the '3rd Sketch EP' Also: 10. Yves Deruyter - 'Factor Y' [bonzai] - is the talla 2xlc mix: Yves Deruyter - 'Factor Y' (Talla 2XLC Remix) [bonzai]
  13. Ive got this on tape somewhere but many thanks for this upload - will get this on the iPod straight away. Ive been looking for one of the tunes on this set for years - "The Advent - Sketch" Anyone know the actual mix thats on this set? there are several vinyls on Disgogs by "The Advent" with various name variations of sketch. I just dont know which is the one.
  14. Hi mate, I very much enjoyed this mix - had it on at work the other day - iPod plugged into some speakers in the warehouse (I work for a PA and lighting hire company) - it certainly made my day go faster - top stuff mate.
  15. Aza just downloading your second mix, it looks pretty amazing and Im sure it will be well mixed as always. Absolom - Babyboomers - what a TUNE!!
  16. Cheers for this Gem Sim. Ive just been away for 3 weeks with work. I shall enjoy chillin out this morning remeniscing on the oldskool Jules sound! Some classics on this one
  17. This was one of my favourite sets from 2000... I had the last 90 minutes on tape but never had the full mix, gonna grab this now, many thanks
  18. Yeah this was wicked also. From memory it included tracks like: Olmec heads - spriritualised friends of matthew - out there cygnus x - the orange theme blank & jones - cream lovechild - liberta etc etc
  19. Looks like an awesome tracklist that, will have to check this out when I get in from work, thanks will.
  20. Agree with all those tunes there Ducky. The Clubber guide to ibiza 98 was a wicked CD
  21. This is my favourite ministry complilation by far. Highlights for me are: Systematic Parts - Violin De La Nuit: this one takes me off into another world whenever I hear it, I get really absorbed in the track somehow Hands Burn - Goodshot: needs no explanation really just a fantastic tune ROOS - Instant Moments:: I used to put the CD in and just listen to this tune over and over sometimes, it still gets played in virtually any trance classics set I play now. BT - Godspeed: agree with simcut on this Roadblock - The Rules: Quality tune this Absolom - Baby Bloomers: Absolutely love this tune - one of those I wish I had on vinyl but I didn't even have decks back then unfortunately. Aptness - The Answer Bocaccio Life - The Secret Wish
  22. Ok cheesy may not have been the right word. I think I did mean comercial really. But my point was that some of the tunes which started off getting support from Jules when they were less know were then pushed out to a bigger audience perhaps by Dave on Dance anthems (eg the launch/ ATB) helping those tracks to cross over to commercial successes. There is an element in these tracks however which makes them appeal to a DJ like Dave Pearce and which gives them that commercial characteristic. Perhaps its just that they are catchy and were therefore liked by people who dont normally have trance as their favourite style of music... perhaps cheesy is too strong a description for these tunes but I think you can see what I'm saying.
  23. Yeah I've felt alot of tunes that were brought through by Jules on his old friday and saturday shows were also backed up by Dave Pearce and this helped them to reach an even bigger audience. Tunes like ATB - 9pm til i come were supported by Julesy but his listeners were still a bit more specialist fans of Trance lets say and some of these may have found that track a bit cheesy anyway. Dave supporting this as well would have pushed the tune out to the Dance Anthems listeners who were more after the floor fillers and slightly cheesier stuff, leading to a number 1 hit in this case. Similar things could be said of DJ Jean - The Launch, Yomanda - Synth & Strings, and Progress - Everybody to name but a few. I also agree that Dave can play good sets with more underground tunes. I saw him in Ibiza in 2003 and his set was top notch... and really well mixed.
