Just listening to this now and not inpressed, aside from it being a blatant Perfecto promotion mix, most of it sounds dated and samey, hell 4 Okaie tracks ina row all souding so samey is yawnsome.

Why I expected more from this mix I'm not sure as we all know Oakies buggered orf to america and there may be his influnce to make stuff that sounds the same as what he was doing 3-4-5 years ago as the american market probably like stuff like that.

Also to start off with a breakey/rappy sounding track then follow that with a heavy rck riffed depeche mode/goldfrapp sounding track!

Rant over but what a load of censored.

Very interested in hearing these, Kenneth Thomas is a superb producer & Jan is one of the best vocalists around

I reckon Oakie could have put a few more of his own tunes in the mix though, there's only 9 productions of his in there and ideally you want to rape the whole 2 hours with solely your own tracks if at all possible. I feel he's missed out somewhat (not) .

I must say I do like 'Save The Last Trance For Me.' Tempted to purchase it..

That's getting great feedback, i agree it's quite good aswell, much more Oakie of old than his new stuff which in general has dissapointed.

Oakies lost the plot and has been this way for quite a long time now. Its a shame as he is such a talent and we all know he's capable of some awsome stuff. He's trying to push the boundaries and make his sets as eclectic as he possibly can. Im all for music variety in a set if its done well but unfortunately he doesnt :( . The prime example of his first class f**k up's has to be, the now lengendary, Ibiza essential mix. U2 in the middle of a trance set at Amnesia??? I'd walk out if he did that while I was there.

Oakie can still put on a good display tunes wise but he does lose it an awful lot. Saw him about a year ago at Gods and tuneage wise he was spot on, lots of older records interspersed with brand new tunage. Mixing wise he clearly didn't care though, trainwreck after trainwreck. I let him off though cos he played 'Boomerang'.

I saw Oakie at Homelands 2003 when he did a mix during Jules live R1 show and he was dreadful. I was in the front row and everyone around me lost interest as he was playing the wrong type of music for that time of day(5-7pm). Jules was brilliant.
