Max Kane
Probs early 2000 yeh due to the link to Millenium Eve and stuff, 120k for playing Crasher?!? that's nuts even for someone as huge as Jules! Vaguely remember the TOTP performance, but my memories are not of a nonchalant performance as that article suggest he treated us to

Max Kane
wages have certainly come down over the last few years now, thats for sure! Well obviously that was greatly inflated as it was Millenium Eve, think top DJs will still command a fair whack though regardless of where they play, i know that Jules does charge less for small clubs though as he loves playing them. I remember the first time someone told me Sasha earnt 12 grand a night for a couple of hours, i was

Max Kane
Considering the money he has made over the years that's easily enough really isn't it. Plus he gets flights and plush hotels for a lot of foreign gigs. Further illustrates though that with dance music as it is you need to be producing to make a really top living out of it. Chrissie Brown
No doubt he does earn alot of money but he also has to pay Tax and NI plus travel expenses (driver, petrol etc.) and other overheads so his net income is somewhat reduced. Normally it's only when he goes abroad that he has his air fares and hotels paid for. If he takes someone with him he has to pay for them. He mentioned this in one of his diary reports. Max Kane
Wasn't knocking him or anything, just stating that after the heady days of the 'superstar DJ' Jules has got more than enough dosh about.
bigsteve
Doesn't the pay depend on venue size as well? Most big name DJs just go for the big pay packet, whereas Jules drops his fee for smaller venues. That gives the added bonus of a top DJ in a small venue, creating amazing atmospheres 8-)
