New Mixer..

Recommended Posts

Right, my current mixer is a djx700 behringer, basically a copy of the pioneer DJM500/600 - its ok, but the quality is s*** and i want some decent effects - plus a couple of the faders are starting to leak sound too so its not boding well for the future..

Its my birthday in a month or so, so im thinking of upgrading to either a DJM500 or DJM 600 - what would ppl say? obviously the 600 is way more expensive but has a vast array of better features than the 500, or doess anyone suggest a different mixer for the same price??

Cheers guys as always.. :D

How much you got to play with mate? I've had my Stanton mixer for 18months and it's never let me down, in fact i've never known anyone have anything bad to say about them.

EDIT - You want effects :? Stanton isn't for you

deffo after a pioneer as in a club u either use allen & heaths or pioneers, i much prefer pioneers..

in terms of money i will buy new, not going second hand, if i have to pay more for a djm600 then i will have to save afterwards...but i cud prob afford it just!

hey matey - already spoke to you bout this i believe ;)

me and my djm600 are happy as and think our relationship is going strong and will do for a while ;) never looking back - ive only considered a djm909 but think was a bit stupid then! plus they are well exp...

One big feature that made my mind up which is significant to most of us on here who record mixes, the djm500 doesnt have a feature for outputting sound to your sound card and also im not sure if they 500 has the delay effect!

600 all the way!

Just don't enjoy playing with a 500 as much after the 600, the efx are so much easier to use on the 600 if thats something you were considering, or just save up for a few more months and get an 800.....

Deffo agree tho, Pioneer over Stanton and imo 600 over 500....
