Aza
Ive put this on the main jj.net site cos there is a few tech heads in there... Hopefully my fellow buddies can help out on ere too Scope: Somebody I know is wanting to audibly digitise their academic books and wishing to listen to them as mp3 and burn them to disc. Accessibility is not a problem, however as this is rather a long process, it is not ideal to be sitting on a computer reading in a microphone for a while. Is there a possible method to get a bluetooth headset or wireless microphone so that you can use it round the house and dictate to it whilst it records at the computer? Do you guys have any suggestions for a possible means to this? Help would be appreciated - cheers in advance!
Quadrant
Wouldn't that be silly, dictating in a mic whilst going round the house? When you listen back to your valuable books in audio you'll be able to hear other noises... like Chapter 23, yes, I can hear the dishwasher - oh that's right I remember I was in the kitchen, yes. You can hear Darren mowing the lawn in Chapter 27 as well, but only at the beginning because I moved into the sitting room to watch the Snooker... Aza
quadrant - as ren & stimpy say: YOU STUPID IDIOT! in an quiet environment was the pitch - obviously not gonna dictate whilst walking round the house cos yr more likely to hit a bloody wall with the book in your hand. just meant pretty much so you havent gotta be sat at the comp desk and can at least sit somewhere quiet and relaxing
Quadrant
haha, sorry sir! Well, I guess you could always give them a hand in bringing that sofa from downstairs into your bedroom? You've got to be careful if your stairs have corners though, don't want to chip the paint or leave scratches. Maybe a chair would be best? I'd recommend inflatable ones but it's really a personal choice.

Quadrant
You don't have to carry inflatable ones up the stairs I mean - so no scratches on the walls on your way up the stairs. You could deflate it, carry it up next to your PC, and then - inflate it wherever you wish! Alternatively you could carry your PC around with you. Maybe buy a laptop? Aza
At least on this board Aza you got some replies Quadrant has been a major help! Despite some of the sh!t stirrers on jj.net, some are actually well geared up on the techy side of things! I've carried out a bit of digging, but it does look a rather difficult process, nevertheless, I think its achievable and will give it a bash after next weeks exam is finished! Ill let you know if I come up with anything, never know, you guys my need such idea for future ref ;) ;) ;)
